When I first met you, I had the greatest sense of urgency to know you. No matter how many hours we’d spent together, or how many of my relentless and eccentric questions you would answer, my appetite for you could never be satiated. When I learned of your favorite book, I needed to know why. When you told me about the last time you cried, I scavenged for ways to make sure it would never happen again. When I studied your skin, I wanted to learn your soul. And when I realized how fast time flew, I would’ve given anything for it to slow down when I was with you. All I know is, however many years have passed. And I still have the greatest sense of urgency to know you.
