On the Podcast

2 factors are causing me to keep pushing off the production and release of my podcast

My new job (yay!) is taking more energy out of me right now than expected (it’s a labor of love)

50% of the podcast is going to be talking about polices, various ideologies, etcetera, & how these have affected various environmentalist efforts

And I’ve been reflecting a lot on how I want to present that, & sometimes my own thoughts, in a responsible way [responsible to the audience, myself, & the peoples’ lives we affect on a daily basis] -- yeah I have a tiny platform at the moment, but you never know what kind of influence you might have, and I want mine to *abundantly, stupidly clearly* promote integrity, safety, and goodwill for the world, one’s community, and self

the reason you were able to read more and do more activities in a day when you were a kid than you do as an adult isn’t because you got stupider, it’s because as a child you generally had your base needs taken care of and your schedule provided to you, so you didn’t have to use as much of your mental and physical energy on planning, life maintenance (ie food and administrative tasks), and general executive function. of course you could focus on reading a novel in two days, somebody else made your lunches and you never thought about phone bills and you didn’t even have to decide for yourself when to take a bath. c’mon
