SERRA: i'd rather have you use that money on something else that's worth your while. i don't go to fancy events that often. if you buy me a new dress, i'll only wear it once.
SERRA: maybe we could use that money on that one restaurant you wanted to take me. we can make it a special night where i dress up a little more prettier for you.
SERRA: won't be long till i do, if i have to be honest.
SERRA: oh come on, parker. be a little more nice to your brother. maybe he's just dealing with things.
SERRA: oh. so it's new for everyone? anything i should prepare myself for? what's too short in terms of dress code? above the knee, or below the knee, or full length? should i bring anything? i read it from somewhere that it's rude to show up empty-handed.
SERRA: promise me you'll hold my hand and give it a little squeeze if i happen to ramble? i tend to just ramble on and on about the stupidest things when i'm nervous and i need a reminder not to.
PARKER: you're definitely worth my while, and the longer you're with me the more events you'll have to wear it to, that and any other dress i happen to pick up along the way once i get your size.
PARKER: maybe you can even wear that dress to the restaurant, babe, you know money isn't an issue i promise. in a few more years i'll be bringing home a solid six figure income and be able to take to the fanciest of restaurants.
PARKER: be nice to my brother, good joke. i've tried that. his only issue is his attitude.
PARKER: me bringing a girl ? yeah my grandma has been asking if i'm gay. but family gatherings ? they happen about twice a year outside of holidays. i'd say full length. don't bring anything, my grandma has it catered by some fancy chef she met in paris. i don't know, she's extra.
PARKER: you're fine, my little cousin can talk eight hours about her lost tooth and repeat fifteen times how much money the tooth fairy gave you while showing you the hole in her mouth another 8 times.
