What a cool building in the middle of nowhere.
Another Creative Video was located somewhere in California. Can’t find anything on the internet. And I would not dare attempt to remove that sticker.
Unfortunately, I could not find this place. Doesn’t mean the location is impossible to find. I think this shopping center may have changed the it’s name because I can’t find it in the 47424 area code.
Raubach Video had several locations! I met a person whose family owned it. For some reason I didn’t care to get any details from them
Found this on a copy of 2000 Maniacs. Adams Video: Shows To Go is Southern Root Hair Salon.
Also, sorry it’s been a while. I stretch myself pretty thin with comics and punk things.
With no address on the sticker, I figured I would be in trouble looking for this place on the internet. There were at least two different store called Captain Video. The one in Toronto, Canada is now a Payless For Everything. But low and behold, the one in San Mateo, CA is still open! Although, I don’t think it’s a rental store anymore. Somebody make a T-shirt of that awesome Captain Video logo.
Movie Madness in De Motte, Indiana. I like the little windows on the room. The eventually moved to another spot in the strip mall but like most of the subjects, are very closed now.
Another un-Google-able name.
The second ex-video store location that is now a European bakery and I’m all for it.
Located in Scarborough Ontario. Couldn’t find much info other than it’s in a shopping mall.
Videosmith was once located in this building. Where, exactly? I’m not sure. It was voted Boston’s Best Video Rental in 1984.
The News Shop Home Video in Delaware Ohio is now Restoration Brew Worx.
Video Visions in Goshen, IN is now a Dutch bakery. My friend grew up in Goshen and said he would loiter inside the Video Visions before or after visiting the local movie theater and/or ice cream shop.
Gary’s T.V. & Video apparently hung in there for a while but is now closed. A nice person on Youtube took some video of the exterior.
It sounds like Roadrunner Video had a few locations in the Louisville, KY area. But I can’t seem to hunt down that address. Some kind Samaritan posted a commercial on Youtube.
Video Star is now a medical supply store. https://shawott.com/ Medical killed the Video Star.
Video Paradise in Chandler, AZ lasted 25 years and closed in 2016! A good run. You can peep at photos on the Yelp Page. Here’s a couple more:
