"relatively fluent in english" but replies to english twitter comments in japanese .... literally why
practice. i'm a learner. if i'm already relatively fluent in english and capable of writing this answer without using translator, it means it's time for a bigger fish, third language.
as what i noticed, sitting down and learning grammar like in a classroom is insufficient to memorize said grammar and use it from that point onwards. for me personally it's much more effective to learn through practice in day-to-day life. plus, in japanese language specifically, you can write sentences that carry more meaning than symbols. to express a word you can use just one symbol, a kanji. it fits more. same goes for comics too. 10/10 very good language.
edit: btw i've tried learning the language like "the classroom method" from, like, 2022 to 2023. in the later years i realized i haven't learnt anything that way. knowledge that isn't supported by everyday reminders gets easily forgotten. the question appeared - "what am i doing everyday?" i draw and post drawings on the internet. so if i name my drawings in japanese, make notes & draw comics in japanese, and post it on the internet where everything - from timeline content to interface lingo - is in japanese, then i'll surely speed up in learning it. i'm typing this out for people who need to learn a language but can't find a quick way to do it. tie it to everyday tasks and the progress will come.
Do you just get so many asks and strawpage stuff all the time or do you just answer questions thatve laid there for a long time at once
all the time i suppose. usually i post the answer right away when the ask appears. i do keep on hold a few that i want to answer with drawings though, there's two of them at the current moment.

i tried to visit your page. and tumblr broke twice in such a way it seemed your account was maybe deleted. let me tell you, i almost cried just a little 🥲
my account is not deleted. it might say a similar thing when a tumblr user blocked you, like "ghost blog" or "this page doesn't exist"... but i don't remember blocking a person who might cry from the loss.
hauuu. i want to take them home. i love the "хм?" watte and the soft watte. spectrum
