Not many people stayed in the dorms over the summer. Seeing as Vidia didn't have a home to return to, she was one of them. And since there were so very little people, it got boring rather quickly. That was when Vidia had a brilliant idea; a brilliantly reckless idea.

She marched her ass over to Pukwudgie house and walked in without knocking. "Hey, Bitch!" Vidia knocked before barging into Hercules' room. "Quit beating your meat and get up. We're going out. Now."

You’re not - I’ve put in my time on the field for the day, and you can kindly fuck off? I’m not moving for at least another five minutes if you want to be a petty bitch about it, and throw a fit - have at it.” she stated pushing her glassed back up on her face.  

“Look you heartless bitch, my captain's husband was murdered less than a year ago. She's as useful as a sack of rocks. Someone has to step up. I was trying to be nice. SO, if you get pelted in the face or trampled, that's your own damn fault." Vidia whipped her ponytail as she stomped off onto the field.

Dimension Bio // Vidia Przybyszewski // Ilvermorny Student

Vidia is the eldest child to Polish immigrants. This is something she hides very well. The girls she’s friends with are brutal to the scholarship kids. She doesn’t want them to turn on her. So, Vidia keeps her scholarship status to herself.

What is her scholarship for you might ask? Vidia is an exceptional track star and avid rugby player. Ilvermorny is one of the only private schools who allowed anyone interested in rugby to try-out. That was one of the deciding factors for her. She would love to become a professional rugby player. This dream put a wedge between her family and her. Sadly, they do not support this dream and effectively disowned her once she left for school. She doesn’t care. It makes it easier for her to live her lie.

Vidia eyed her teammates before looking back down at Aquata, "you know what's not cute anymore? Your holier than thou act. I don't give a shit if you've been busting your ass all morning. We have the field, now. So, move along and tan somewhere else, Malibu Barbie."

Aqua popped her gum loudly before flopping onto her back on the grass. Even with rugby coming towards an end she was pushing herself. Closing her eyes she let her chest rise and fall before she realized a shadow casting over her. “I didn’t invite shade  - so move?” 

Vidia held the ball against her hip as she looked down at her captain. "How about you move off the grass so you don't take a ball to the face? Or is that your preferred past time these days?"

Astrid’s mind was elsewhere, causing her to lose focus on the path she walked.  That was until her body collided with another.  She gasped in shocked, nearly dropped her violin case.  “Oh shoot !  Sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going.  I don’t know whats wrong with me today.  You ok ?”

Vidia knew going into Adamsville was risky. For whatever reason Greylock's Landing and Adamsville were enemies and that made things dangerous for the students at Ilvermorny. She didn't understand how students at a private school could get roped in but it was. Regardless, Vidia was a teenager and her decision-making skills were suspect. So, there she was getting bumped into by some girl with a violin case. "Whoa!" She jumped back and scoffed as she looked down at the girl. "I'm fine but watch where you're going, 'kay?"

Hercules rubbed his neck as he left his auror classroom. With the end of the year and finals looming upon him, he and a few students had taken to training with each other during their free period. It was exhausting but it was also a surefire way to ensure that Hercules would pass his final with flying colors. On his way back to Pukwudgie, he turned the corner and saw Vidia looking at a flyer. They littered the halls and he knew exactly what they were. When he saw her angrily swat the paper into the trashcan and pause, he walked over to her.

“It’s bullshit, I know,” he whispered low enough for her to hear and her only, “but you’re going to blow your cover if you keep looking so upset.” Hercules was close enough to Vidia to know that she was no-maj born rather than pureblood as she passed herself off to be.

Vidia glared up at Hercules and slammed the paper into his chest, "shut up." She looked around before continuing. "If someone hears you, I'm marked as a traitor and under suspicion. And I don't need to be a no-maj-born to think this is ridiculous. The whole fucking thing is stupid." Everything. The witch hunters. The hate between blood status. The fact she felt like she had to lie to keep her friends. The fact her lie could make her look like a traitor working with the very idiots she thought were stupid in the first place. The. Entire. Thing. "I need vodka and to fly. You in?"

“I think all the teams have done really well this year!” Fauna grinned. She always enjoyed watching the games, had even tried out for the team one year. Sadly she didn’t make it, though it wasn’t too big of a surprise since she’d never been too athletic. 

"I think all the teams have done really well this year," Vidia said in a mocking tone. "Ha. Puk got lucky that they were the top seed. That's why they ultimately lost to Wampus."

“Well it certainly seems like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.” Madeline knew better by now than to take anything that Vidia said personally. “It could always be worse, you could be in last place.” Her words were meant to be reassuring, but to an already annoyed Vidia, they might not appear that way.

"Don't worry your pretty little heart about the side of the bed I woke up on. But you are right. Last is worse than losing to Wampus. Losing to a bunch of bookworms would have been a serious blow to the ego, even for me."

With the finals behind her, Vidia focused on her final project for Broom Making. She reeked of wood stain and polish as she left the classroom and made her way through the halls. There were more students than usual since their lifeline of fun was cut off after the Carnival. Not to mention the anti-no-maj sentiment that was buzzing around the school. 

She was thinking about it when she stepped on a piece of paper. The lengthy teen bent over to pick it up and saw it was some anti-no-maj-born propaganda. It wasn't the first time she saw it but it still stung. It claimed that no-maj-born students were spies for the hunters. It said not to trust them. It called for them to be rounded up and dealt with. She knew what "dealt with" meant. Her grandparents often spoke of the German occupation when they were kids and how their Jewish friends were "dealt with". Purebloods wanted to think they were so above no-maj but they were just as bad with the anti-no-maj crap.

Vidia crumbled the paper up and swatted it into a nearby trash can. But that didn't make her feel any better. There were so many more littering the halls. "Stupid shit," she muttered in Polish picking up another and reading it again. She stood there as her eyes lingered on the words letting them dig in even more than the last time. Her brain processing each word over and over again...

It was obvious that Vidia wasn’t pleased with the results, but that didn’t mean she had to be sarcastic about it. Madeline thought carefully about her words in an attempt not to antagonize the girl. “At the end of the day, it’s just a little bit of fun and nobody really cares about who wins. Do they?”

“Horned Serpent is the name of one of the houses at our school. We get placed based on some stupid statue things. I don’t completely get it. Horned Serpent students tend to be bookworm nerds. There are a few exceptions to the rule but for the most part, they’re nerds.” Vidia shrugged as she explained how the houses worked. “Might as well ask while you can. Who knows what MACUSA will do once they get a handle on things. You’ll be lucky if you ever see another one of us again. They tend to take the passive route with this shit.” Vidia knew that much. In the past, the wizarding world didn’t fight against the no-maj unless it was completely necessary. That meant if there was no other way out. Last time they faced the no-maj they chose secrecy over war. 

Vidia scoffed at the question about warts and noses, “no. We look like no-maj.” Vidia should know. She was no-maj-born. Her family wasn’t aware of magic until she received her letter to Ilvermorny. Then they disowned her. 

“Apparating is like a wormhole but for short distances. It’s hard to explain but it feels like your being compressed and shot through a straw then decompressed in a matter of seconds. It’s the fastest way to get around. Well, when we can actually use it.” Vidia tried to apparate but nothing happened. “Which I can’t do at the moment.” Then she raised a brow to Anya’s ‘we’. What did she mean by we? Vidia didn’t do ‘we’ plans. She did 'she’ plans. “We aren’t doing anything. You will stay in Adamsville while I return to school. I’m very fast. They have to catch me to kill me.”

Anya wasn’t really sure how to respond to this information. It was hard to absorb all of this in one go, especially since every time she said something new, it was just that much more crazy than the last thing. “This MACUSA…would they wipe all of our memories? Can they do that on a massive scale like that?” That was a terrifying thought. She didn’t want to lose her memories, not again, she already couldn’t remember her childhood for one reason or another. And who knew how many of her friends were actually magical, she didn’t want to forget about them. 

“Well…at least you’ve got that going for you. If you can avoid calling attention to yourself, you’ll be fine.” She hoped. Anya really didn’t know what else to say regarding the manner, but she’d try the comforting route where she could. 

“That sounds awful. Convenient, but awful. Don’t you ever feel sick doing things like that?” She knew she probably would. Going through a wormhole type thing did not sound enjoyable. “You can’t honestly think you can’t use a little extra help getting back after everything. Those hunters will be everywhere out there, you can use me to distract them while you get out safe. You might be fast, but they have guns.” Anya did not like the idea of her going out on her own to try and get home. Not right now. Probably if she knew the hunters were gone, but that wasn’t the case.

“They did it in the past but they can’t if magic doesn’t work here. They’ll just have us hide for the rest of time. We do it well. You didn’t know about magic until tonight.” She said matter-of-factly. “They’ll do something. I just can’t tell you what because I don’t know.”

Vidia shrugged. She really didn’t know how else they could figure out witches from no-maj. It wasn’t like they looked all that different. Maybe their sense of style was different and the slang used differed. But visually there wasn’t much to go on.

“Yeah,” Vidia admitted. “Those who are bothered by it usually carry chocolate. It helps settle the stomach after apparating.” It didn’t reall bother her but Vidia preferred a broom to get around. Apparition would in a pinch. “Look,” Vidia kicked back somenof the vodka, “the only time I do team activities is on the pitch. I can manage solo. Kay?”

Finals || Malidia

“Would you like to be benched for the rest of the season, Vidia?” Malena snapped at the taller girl as she tied her hair up in a ponytail, “I’d be much more enthusiastic if you lost your ability to speak.” With that, Malena puffed out a breath through her nose and ordered the team to huddle up. They went through their strategies and tweaked them as necessary. She straddled the broom and nodded to a teammate to let the snitch and other balls fly.

“Oh!” Malena piped up, “By the way, instead of an hour practice today, we don’t stop until I say so. Be sure to thank Vidia for that.”

“You need me,” Vidia sang as she moved with the rest of the team in the huddle. She had her bat tucked under her arm as they went over the plays. And when the balls were released, Vidia hopped on her broom and gave her bat a fanciful swing. “You’re welcome, guys. We might actually win for once.”

“We have plenty of beaters,” Malena narrowed her eyes at Vidia as she hovered off the ground, “there’s only one seeker.” With that, practice began. They ran plays and perfected them as needed. About halfway in, Malena called a time out and flew to the center of the pitch.

“We need to figure out different positions for the chasers, because this isn’t working,” she pinched the bridge of her nose.

“Two beaters,” Vidia corrected her. “And try to find one faster than me next time you need to be protected from a bludger.” She hissed. There were two people on the pitch to protect the entire team. Jokes could be made about how they were dime a dozen but come crunch time, a good beater kept players in the game.

Vidia twirled her bat as she listened to Malena. She looked at the other beater and rolled her eyes. Changing the plans right before the finals? Yeah that’s a great plan.
