Hello! I've had my eye on this rp for such a long time and since my own rp has been dead for a few months, I've decided to apply here. I then saw the recent messages about revamping the rp etc. Are you still open to receive applications? Could I be of service in any way in order to help you revamp the rp (although I do have to admit, my strong quality is writing)? Would hate to see this rp vanish from existence – and would love to join! Thanks in advance for reading my message!
Hi! We’re so glad that you’re interested. Admin J and I are currently looking into going into a revamp, but it’s still in the planning phase. Rest assured, though, we don’t want to let Vigilance vanish. We’re not reviewing applications right now, but we’d definitely love to have you be a part of this. Keep an eye on this space--we’re hoping to have some announcements soon.
I’d love to say the dash is running and we’re indeed active but that would be a big overstatement. Even though some dash activity happens daily, we’re far from perfection in this matter. Admin R and me are thinking about some big revamp and getting this group back on track but it’s not as easy as it seems and the reasons behind it shouldn’t really be discussed publicly. The most important thing is - we’re not ready to let V. go down but there are things that we need to deal with before starting a big project that putting this rp back together is gonna be.
Name: Oscar Yeun-Cartwright
Position: Potential Agent
Date of Birth: 03/14/1993
Place of Birth: London, UK
Faceclaim: John Kim
B I O G R A P H Y
When he was two and a half, Oscar’s birth mother died. He was adopted shortly thereafter by a young couple from London, Anne-Marie and Gregory Cartwright. That’s the short version of the story—and the long one too, as far as Oscar is concerned. His new parents were loving if slightly overwhelmed by their happy, excitable new toddler who spoke only Korean. As he grew up, he remembered little of his early childhood, aside from his first language and a handful of songs.
By the time he was in school, he was fluent in both Korean and English and switched between them at random—much to the consternation of his teachers. Equally concerning was the fact that he spent almost as much time out of his seat as he did in it. Spelling was all well and good, but Oscar would rather read the books on the shelves, play with the toys, run around in the schoolyard, stare out the window, or chat with his classmates than sit quietly and listen. His saving grace in elementary school was that he was smart and enthusiastic when he did participate, allowing him to keep pace with his classmates.
As he grew older, this became more of a problem, and his parents turned to activities like Taekwondo and football to try and find an outlet for his energy. He became more athletic, but not much better at school—although he managed to scrape passing grades in the majority of his classes, he simply didn’t care enough to do better. Eventually, he decided that school couldn’t do much more for him, and he opted not to take any A-Levels and instead started making money off his newest obsession, card tricks. What had started as a brief fascination and an interesting party piece turned into something he could actually focus on.
In the meantime, he developed an interest in medicine—but medical school, he knew, was certainly not the place for someone who couldn’t manage A-Levels. Instead, he trained as an EMT. The work appealed to his search for excitement and sense of adventure, but he also felt as though he was helping people. For the next few years, he spent most of his time either amusing children at birthday parties or attempting to save lives.
Even that eclectic lifestyle eventually became dull, however, and Oscar started looking for a new outlet. He applied for MI-6 as more of a whim than anything else, and was more surprised than anyone when he was accepted. Apparently, they thought his emergency medical training, his language fluency, and martial arts were enough to outweigh his weak formal education and distractibility—or maybe recruitment was just down this year. But Oscar, as always, preferred to think positive.
A B O U T
Oscar is more than a little directionless; when something catches his attention, he throws himself into it wholeheartedly, but when he gets bored it’s extremely difficult for him to keep his focus. As a result, he’ll fail at things simply because he can’t be bothered to try, even when he’s entirely capable. He’s excitable and impulsive—if he gets an idea, he’ll act on it immediately, frequently with little regard to the consequences. His enthusiasm and lack of attention span make him both fun and highly frustrating to work with.
Despite his tendency towards distraction and lack of common sense, Oscar is clever and charming—he’s good at making friends, both because of his willingness to help and his cheerful disposition. He enjoys helping others, and doesn’t distinguish between the level of help necessary: he’s equally quick to try and pull someone from a burning building as he is to help a secretary gather her dropped papers. His sense of personal loyalty is high: he’s the first person to notice if a friend is upset and a firm believer in the idea that no one should be left behind—however, his optimism and stubbornness can lead him to jeopardize himself and larger goals in his dedication to lost causes.
Epsilon: They have only been working for half a year together, so the relationship between them had been strictly professional.
Alpha: Because they went on missions all together, the agent has thought more than a couple of things to the trainee.
Trainee #1: Since T5 is usually paired with the other when they go on missions with their supervisors, they got to know each other.
Name: Min Huang
Position: Potential Agent
Date of Birth: 04/28/1992
Place of Birth: Daegu, South Korea
Faceclaim: Bae Ju-Hyun
B I O G R A P H Y
Min was born into wealth and fortune. The fortune wasn’t always on her side, but it was always there, some cosmic force pushing her in and out of trouble. Her father was the company ambassador for a fashion label, travelling constantly. Even on the day of her birth, Min’s father was in the United States, proposing the product to a nationwide distributor. Because of this, most of the burden of raising Min was left on her mother and grandmother. The two women worked tirelessly to make Min a child who deserved the company that she would inevitably inherit. From birth, she was raised to speak not only Korean, but also Mandarin and English. While she was choppy in Mandarin and questionable in English, the early practice in the multiple languages gave Min the intellectual boost to excel in her classes.
However, the effort was almost for nil when, in the span of one week, Min’s father returned to her, told her they were moving to the UK, and took all their possessions to a small house in Edinburgh. And then he was gone again.
Min, of course, was reeling. English was her worst language, and because of the education system, she was nearly two entire years behind in school. Eleven years old and terrified, she was left to her and her mother’s devices to take care of the predicament facing them. The obvious answer was discipline. During the weekdays, Min worked with her mother to do almost three years worth of work in only one. Weekends were spent either with her father when he was available, learning Taekkyeon (the Korean martial art of foot fighting, the mastery of which was a family tradition), or with a tutor. By fifteen, Min was back on track, and while her English was still poor, she was learning fast. Her father’s business became more and more successful, and while he wasn’t at home as often as she’d like, his growing staff permitted more frequent business visits.
Then, Min went to college. If there was one thing that Min’s mother had taught her during all the years that she’d stayed at home raising her, it was that independence and freedom were two of the most important things a woman could have during that day and age. The key to a woman’s autonomy, then, came from a proper education. Min’s mother hadn’t gotten one, and so she had become trapped in the position of housewife. So she attended college for both herself and her mother.
However significant her higher education was, however, the part most worth noting to the organization that would inevitably contact her would be her mastery of Taekkyeon. By eighteen, she’d been learning the art privately and placing in competitions for seven years. She was nationally awarded for her fighting, and while it was significant especially to citizens of her home country, South Korea, a specific incident caught the eyes of MI6. It was during the match that would win her the national title in Taekkyeon. She was up against a tall, lithe boy with too much to say about all the places a girl like her ought to be instead of in a ring. It took ten seconds for Min to take him down the first time. The second, he began to hold his ground, hissing and spitting words at her in Korean– words that the judge didn’t (or pretended not to) understand. He took her down. The third time, Min didn’t give him the chance to strike. After successfully tripping him, she shoved the mediator away and told him to stand back up. They continued to fight, going back and forth for nearly ten minutes before Min broke the rules of the tournament (and Taekkyeon) and kicked him straight in the chin, knocking him out cold and fracturing his jaw.
She would always refer to it as her most vulnerable moment.
When she would later be asked why she answered to her recruitment to the program, Min wouldn’t be able to give a direct answer. It wasn’t something she planned to do, or something she had ever aspired to do. She hadn’t grown up watching war movies and found some nationalist inspiration growing inside her, or lost a family member in some tragic criminal accident and sworn the rest of her life to protecting people from the same thing. She just joined because it was what she felt like doing. Having just finished high school, Min realized that she had no interest in inheriting her father’s company. If he wanted an heir, he could pick his CFO or have another child. She had found her path.
Or rather, her path had found her.
Being a trainee wasn’t as easy as she’d anticipated. While Min had known that working for MI6 would come with its own set of risks and challenges, having a cold and distant supervisor made breaking the ice of her job rather difficult. Determined, however, not to let anyone come between her and inevitably becoming an agent, Min took her problems directly to Q. While he was about as withdrawn as Gamma, he was at least helpful. Although she has developed quite the camaraderie with him, she sees him more as an object of her admiration than a friend, or even a peer. On the note of admiration, she formed a respect for 006 after Gamma had presented her with the opportunity to see them in the field. However, this observation only reassured Min’s fears that being an agent was a lot more responsibility than she might have imagined.
While she was happy that she had chosen not to take over her father’s company, Min couldn’t help but feel like she was going to have to work very hard to prove herself not only to her superiors, but also to her direct supervisor. This didn’t exactly equate misery– she wouldn’t take back her answer to the recruitment even if she was paid to. No, Min just knew that it would take more of the trademark Huang work ethic to get her where she needed to be. And she was okay with that.
A B O U T
Despite what someone who might know her well would say, Min’s a fun-loving person. She’s the first to start conversation if things get too quiet, and will make any excuse to spend time around other people. Her honesty and loyalty makes her the perfect person to come to when someone needs advice or a shoulder to cry on, and while her devotion to the truth borders on rudeness, she will never give up her position on anything. The problems begin when one presents her with a challenge: her strict upbringing and intense work ethic have caused her to become incredibly competitive and ruthless whenever expectations are set for her. This has become more obvious as she has begun her time as a trainee. Despite her formality and kindness to others, she will ultimately drop any friendships or alliances in order to ensure her success. However, the moment she is finished being evaluated or judged, she will return to her kind and friendly self.
Gamma: T3 might as well be the unluckiest trainee in the agency right now. Their supervisor despises the trainees and it certainly doesn’t make the job any easier to T3.
Q: Since their supervisor glares at the trainee at any chance, T3 asks questions and goes for help to the head of Q branch.
006: It’s very rare for trainees but T3 had the chance to see the Double-O in the field because of their supervisor.

Congratulations Stella! Your application for Min Huang (Trainee #3, FC: Bae Ju-Hyun) has been accepted. Please visit our Welcome Page and send us the link within 24 hours. We’re excited to have you in our RPG and we hope you’ll enjoy your stay!
I think this is pretty cool. I would love to join as 008 but I may have to age the character down for the fc I'm think of using.
That’s wonderful that you’re thinking about applying for 008! There shouldn’t be a problem with aging them down even though we would like to keep it reasonable and avoid going up or down more than 4 years. So if it satisfies you, great! If not, please come off anon so we can work something out together.
Name: Annalise Frost
Position: Quartermaster
Date of Birth: 19/12/1987
Place of Birth: Florida, USA
Faceclaim: Emily Bett Rickards
B I O G R A P H Y
At the young age of ten, Annalise lost her family to a fire. Her parents, whom she loved very much, always taught her to try her best and to be brave in every difficult situation. Her older brother by seven years had always done the same. The advice had come in very handy when the accident happened. She remembered returning from her friends home, seeing nothing but remains of the family home. She had no other family in England, since that’s where she had moved soon after she was born, so nowhere to go. A foster home was the only option.
It must have been at least five years of jumping from home to home, before Annalise finally found where she belonged. They were a nice, young couple who seemed to be very interested in the way that Annalise rarely interacted with others and always stole random objects in order to tamper with them and turn them into something else. She was a sly troublemaker, and they seemed to like that about her. Two years of a loving and happy home with the Hampton family, and Annalise was returned to the foster home. She didn’t understand why, or what had went wrong. She never stole from them, and she was always polite. Needless to say, she spent the next few years of her life trying to work it out. It had a massive impact on her confidence and her opinion of herself. She felt like nobody wanted her just because she was her. Annalise was herself around that family, and they still got rid of her. And thus, her anxiety and panic problems developed.
Reaching the age of eighteen two years later, Annalise could legally live alone without any guardians. She took the first opportunity she got and moved to London. She found herself struggling to balance a job with university, where she studied engineering and coding, so made most of her money from hacking and stealing. She was sly, and always made it difficult to be caught. And she almost got away with it, until one day when a few men showed up at her door and arrested her. At least, that’s what she thought. Instead of being thrown in jail, she was offered a job at MI6. They told her her skills were sloppy and needed work, but also that they could help her do that, although they could tell she preferred gadgets and gizmos to computers. With no other options and nothing to lose, Annalise accepted.
After training and getting used to her knew life, Annalise proved herself skilful in her work, and was offered the role of 008's Quartermaster. It was almost a dream come true. The gadgets she was exposed to gave her a thrill, and it was a place where she could truly fit in more than she ever had before. Sometimes she is jealous of the work the agents do out in the field, but she knows her place is in front of a computer, and that’s where she feels most comfortable. Her self-confidence hasn’t improved much, but it feels a lot easier to talk to people now than it ever has. She loves working for MI6, and hopes she can be a valuable asset to the team for a long time.
A B O U T
Annalise couldn’t be described in a single word. Above all, she’s passionate. She could talk for hours about the latest tech and how it works. She will always try her best to get the best inventions for her agent and will spend more time telling them about how awesome it is rather than letting them use it. 008 is used to this though, she imagines, as it’s usually all she ever talks about. She’s highly intelligent, but sometimes doesn’t realise it. She’s modest, and will usually just say that she's knowledgeable in her field, but not really in anything else. Annalise could reprogram a computer or turn a watch into a tracker in a heartbeat, and she enjoys it.
Annalise is a very anxious person, always worried about saying or doing the wrong thing or constantly worrying about what people think of her. She’s rather insecure, but knows that she shouldn’t be. She’ll never complain about herself or anything else, out of fear of getting on people’s nerves. She’s not exactly afraid to stand up for herself, either. Usually finding bickerings ridiculous and childish, she will stand down and let people calm themselves, but if it’s something she cares about, she can be as defensive as a lion with her cub. She’s more sly than most people, avoiding starting fights but still getting back at anyone who underestimates her or does her wrong. Other than Q3 and Q5, she is the youngest Quartermaster, which often leads to her being underestimated. She proves them wrong though, every time.
People don’t often see Annalise as the feisty person she is, as this side of her is often hidden by her excitable persona. She’s humorous and playful, while also quite clumsy. But when the time is right for it, she can be serious, level-headed and calm. She’s not a stranger to sarcasm or challenges, either.
008: The Quartermaster is known by their gadgets and the Double-O loves it. The agent sometime fails to bring the equipment in once piece but that is definitely expected.
Q7: Q8′s expertise on gadgets and Q7′s coding skills go along well together and they make wonderful gadgets for the agents.
Q4: The other is known for their gadgets as well so in their free time, both quartermasters can be found working together.
Name: Amelia Riddle
Position: Double-O Agent
Date of Birth: 19/04/1988
Place of Birth: Italy, Florence
Faceclaim: Olivia Wilde
B I O G R A P H Y
Amelia was born in Italy, Florence. Her mother was Italian, but her father was English. Amelia always travelled between Italy and UK because her parents were separated. Both her parents were teachers and Amelia lived a calm childhood, she didn’t have many friends, but she always managed to lose those few friends someway or another, she always thought that people didn’t like her and that there had to be a reason even though she couldn’t see it. So, she became very lonely and after a while of being bullied and ignored by her classmates she bacame cold and said to herself that she didn’t need friends to survive, of course that wasn’t true but she had to say to herself that she was strong enough. This way of thought didn’t help with the friends situation and in her teenagers years she did have only one friend, but it wasn’t even really a real friend, but just someone she went to the cinema with. This lonely life brought her to the path of boredom, Amelia could get bored easily and reading/studying wasn’t enough to keep her occupied all day so she found a hobby or better she chose to follow her father’s hobby: hunting.
At her first year of university, she decided to study in the UK, Amelia started taking shooting lessons so she could join her father when he went hunting, however she noticed that she didn’t really like hunting animals, but she liked shooting. Amelia started practicing shooting for most of her time, it was a stress-relief for her and it took a lot of after-school time so the days actually passed by more quickly. Frank, her shooting teacher, was very impressed by Amelia because she was very good, it didn’t mean she had a perfect aim or that she always centered the target, but she had a nice technique. Frank offered her to compete against other shooters and so it started her “shooting career”, but it wasn’t really a career because she didn’t win any money from the competitions, it was just for sport. Amelia lost her first competition, but won the second, she wasn’t perfect and most of the time she lost, but at the same time she was having fun and her technique kept improving.
Amelia didn’t spend time hanging out with friends so she could focus on studying and practicing, however she had to start working too. So, her life didn’t change much during these years: she kept studying, practicing and working. However, her job was taking time from the practicing and she had to slow down her competitions, it was pity because she was starting to make good scores.
Time passed and Amelia wasn’t happy at all, she missed shooting so Amelia decided to not finish school and start a shooting career. Her parents didn’t quite appreciate the news because they wanted her daughter to finish her studies, but Amelia really like shooting and if she wanted to improve then she had to spend most of her time into marksmanship.
However, her career wasn’t going well. If the shooter didn’t have a sponsor then they had to pay for everything: the guns, ammos, chronograph and other expensive equipment. Even though she had a fine and sharp technique, the sponsors didn’t look much for a woman in a shooting career. So, Amelia had to pay for everything and this put her into debts. Amelia won some of the competitions, but it wasn’t enough to pay the debts so she had to stop. Amelia spent all the money she won in the competitions to pay for the debts, but it wasn’t enough and unfortunately she couldn’t find a job. Her parents offered her to stay with them and Amelia had to accept, however she decided to stay in London with her father, it was the only lucky choice that she made for a long time because staying in the UK made possible working for the MI6.
They offered her a job after seeing her skills in marksmanship during her competitions even though she didn’t always win, but they saw something in her technique because they offered to train her better, to work for them. Amelia, who was in debt and couldn’t compete anymore, accepted the job feeling honored that the MI6 offered her to work for them. It wasn’t a common job at all, it regarded the most serious businnes and it was very dangerous. The training was very tiring, but useful, Amelia was learning so much and her technique actually improved a lot. Once seen her skills it was quite obvious that she was going to be an Agent and not a Quartermaster. Even though her marksmanship skills were improving, her social-life didn’t improve so much. Sure, she was polite with her co-workers and trainers, but she kept relationships in a professional level feeling uncomfortable in making friends or trying to make stronger relationships, however she always tried to help the trainees. Her social-skills didn’t stop her to make quite a career in the MI6. After her years as a trainee, she started from the bottom as an agent. Amelia proved herself to be a good shooter and very loyal. The MI6 didn’t fail to see that her marksmanship skills proved useful more than once and when 003 died during a mission, they offered the position to Amelia and she accepted it.
A B O U T
Amelia likes firearms very much maybe because guns give her that power she lacks of. She doesn’t seem very good in her social life, but her skills in the marksmanship are very noticeable.
About her romantic life, well, she doesn’t seem very good at that either, but not because men aren’t interested in her. She is very good looking and men notice it, but Amelia doesn’t seem interested at all feeling that men are just interested in her only because of her appearance. She is also very cynical about love and she thinks that love doesn’t really exist, but it’s just a very strong attraction. However, she also thinks that maybe she is wrong about this seen her lack of experience in this field, she can be very insecure sometimes.
About her appearance: she isn’t really interested in it. Sure, she uses it if she has to, but otherwise she is more interested in guns.
She is that type of girl who prefers a rifle to jewellery.
She is also very loyal even though her cold attitude could make superficial people think differently. Her cold attitude is a self-defense, like a shield that she put on to not feel sorrow about her loneliness. In fact she doesn’t have many friends or other kind of relationships, even though she tries to have good connections with her co-workers. About romantic relationships, she can still be attracted to someone, but most of the time it’s the person who tries to kill her and not the one who invites her to dinner. This doesn’t mean she is in love with her enemy because her loyalty prevents it, bu the attraction itself can’t be controlled however she controls her actions about it.
Q3: It wasn’t intended at all, but 003′s Quartermaster is also the youngest Q in the agency.
Trainees: 003 is aware that no matter MI6 says that innovation and youth is always welcome, there is prejudice. Some agents look upon trainees, but 003 takes them ‘under their wing’ and helps them whenever they can.
Name: Eric Archer
Position: Field Agent
Date of Birth: 06/11/1978
Place of Birth: London, UK
Faceclaim: Paul Bettany
B I O G R A P H Y
Growing up in London, going from one foster home to another meant that Eric became tough, and didn’t tend to show emotion. All he can remember from his childhood was moving to different families, he doesn’t know who his real parents are and nobody really wanted him. As a teenager, he hung around with the wrong people and became part of a gang, going by his last name ‘Archer’. He spent every night out on the streets, intimidating people, stealing and vandalising. He received ASBOs, was grounded (by his then foster parents), but nothing could stop him.
The first time he killed somebody was an accident. Two gangs met up at an abandoned railway, prepared for a fight. There were knives involved, but that wasn’t what killed the boy. A simple push onto the tracks caused him to smack his head on the ground, and he never got up. No one ever said anything, and the boy’s death was passed as an accident. Surprisingly, Archer didn’t feel guilty for what happened, and continued his life happily, getting into more fights and becoming more destructible. It was only when his best friend died in a fight that he realised that things needed to stop. People were dying and the loss of his best friend was harder to cope with than he’d ever imagined.
From then, Archer began to change his act, although his attitude towards people still remained the same. He worked out in the gym to keep his physique and took regular hand-to-hand combat classes and became a natural at that. It was when he was working as a kick boxing instructor that MI6 approached him, impressed with his fighting skills. Archer didn’t turn down the opportunity and immediately dropped his job. There was no one for him to look after apart from himself, and the job seemed perfect for him. When the opportunity to become a double-o agent came up, Archer was excited. He wanted to get to the top, but after accidentally shooting the wrong person during a mission, it was made very clear that he would never progress to double-o status and remained a normal agent. Annoyed, Archer continued to work and was content until he was assigned a trainee. The last thing he wanted was to babysit somebody, but he does as he’s told and gets paid well for it.
A B O U T
Archer is cold. He doesn’t like small-talk and prefers to be blunt about things than to dance around trying to make things nicer. He can come off as intimidating at first, but when he’s comfortable about somebody he’ll happily have a joke with them, and he can be nice when he tries. Most of the time he has his guard up; he’s been passed from person to person all his life and trusting is hard for him because of this. He’s afraid that whenever he comes close to someone, they’ll leave him. He doesn’t feel much guilt about the people he’s killed, apart from the one on the mission that meant he’d never become a double-o. Although he’s not sure if that’s because it meant he can’t be prompted or because it was an innocent person. He’s fairly smart and is interested in what the quartermasters get up to.
Has failed to become a Double-O because of a mission gone wrong.

Q: Gamma is fully aware that they are not a Double-O, but they have gone through so many missions and have been around each other for more than ten years is why the Quartermaster and the agent can be considered close.
Trainee #3: Despise is a strong word, Gamma is aware, however, that’s the only word close to describe his feelings towards the trainees. The potential agents are nothing but a waste of time to the agent.
006: Both were agents at the same time and went on missions together in the past.
