An image by Heikki Leis from Estonia, becomes my figure floating in the Carpathian forest, to be later transformed into an intimate experience of Victoria Skafida from Greece.

from the collection of rusted objects and embedded photographs, which are part of the evolving exhibition Kameň ó lom / The Quarry

By bringing together different materials - a perforated rusted target and a photograph of a deceased deer, hardly visible among the rocks of the quarry, two moments in time collapse into one surface.

The abandoned quarry itself is a liminal space where multiple timelines accumulate: extraction, abandonment, ecological return and acts of informal violence materialised in the found, rusted objects.
