If Sky were a man, SkyVik would be a massively popular ship, and no one would be trying to downplay her importance to Viktor. People would be bending over backward to analyze every second of their interactions, writing essays about how much Viktor cared, and treating Sky’s death like the ultimate tragedy. But because she’s a woman, suddenly she’s irrelevant, and her connection to Viktor gets dismissed like it never mattered. It’s the same tired pattern where male characters are only allowed to have meaningful bonds with other men, while any dynamic with a woman gets ignored or treated like a nuisance. If the roles were reversed, people wouldn’t be arguing over whether Viktor cared, they’d be romanticizing every glance and clinging to scraps of subtext like their lives depended on it.

Sometimes people are mean, uncaring assholes, in which case you get to be mad. But sometimes you just need to communicate better. Try communication before you assume someone doesn't care!
