it's so interesting that the DARK writers named their main character jonas. the book of jonah is all about a man who runs from a destiny that feels inescapable, but all his running leads him right back to his fate as a prophet... and jonas is very much the same, all the actions he takes to end the cycle are what create the loop of tragedy in the first place

important to understand that the value in this is NOT to instill his character with some kind of deep-seated secret that he just needs to confess to someone in order to Heal it's that he loved his parents but when it came down to the cold choice between love vs the empire, he picked the empire. that's how noxus works and he's a better noxian than they were
