"Ha, Ha, Haaaa. Your augments are TRASH!" Drinks wine from the bottle.
“Oh, are they? I’m surprised you can see me at all with the state you’re in.”
“My op...op...optical augments are superior to your fancy flesh holes... stickman.”

"My lazers are better than yours."
“Synthetically created, and not as flashy. If your intent is to offend me, you may need to try harder than that.”
“If you’re offended by mere fact, that is your business.”

Six.
*Drunkenly stumbles/falls into Jayces office* "I fooound you! You, you... shit."
He lifts his hands up, backing away with a snort. “Whoa, whoa there buddy!” Jayce pats the couch in his office. “How about you sit down a bit there and have some tea. I’ve just put the kettle on.” He smiles his smug smile. Though he doesn’t know why he’s here, he can still be smug that he came to Jayce instead of the other way around.
“Don’t... you, gimme tha’ you... pretty boy.” The preacher of mechanical gospel shoots out his hand in an accusatory gesture, his augmetic limb unconsciously aping the action of its fleshy counterpart.
“You, youuu~... Why am I here?”

"Curious. I do not recall making a doppleganger, another drunken mistake perhaps? Or does someone seek to replace me..."
This was strange. Very strange.
“May I ask where you came from?” The Herald was obviously quite uncomfortable by his double’s presence, especially when the chatter about someone ‘making’ him started up. Had someone managed to clone him? It wasn’t out of the question, considering Zaun’s lax scientific environment.
The Zaunite tilted his head, as if to challenge his mirrors statement. “I am Viktor, The Viktor, scourge of Piltover, Herald of the Machines, the list goes on. Most is boring and lengthy titles.” His eyes narrow at this mockery of his perfection, the gall of it all.
“To ask where I came from is suspicious, a double bluff, what do you gain in trying to convince me that you are the real me?”
That wasn’t the answer Viktor had been expecting from a clone, but he reasoned it was still a possible response. After all, he liked to think he had an innate tendency for critical thinking. Surely, the clone would have inherited it too.
“There’s no purpose in convincing you. I know I’m the ‘real’ Viktor, and I benefit from knowing the origins of my impostor,” he then shot back, still eyeing his duplicate warily. “Now tell me, where did you come from?”
He handed his cane off to his auxiliary arm, taking a few curious steps forward, bringing his right up to his chin, caressing the side of his mask in thorough thought.
“Perhaps hypno-therapy, you could be very well convinced that you are me, although you do seem to be slow on the uptake, my origins aren’t exactly secret, everyone knows I’m a Zaunite.” He leaned forward, trying to get a better look, searching for some imperfections.
“Biological or Mechanical I wonder? Clone would certainly be easier, more convincing. Augmentations added later. But how would they know of my personal additions?” His eyes narrowed behind his mask.

A special edition of Viktor shade, just for you!
P.S You should totally follow my squad.
@steel-fixes-all you know I was thinking about it while tossing in bed and well, I can see them work. I can see them victorian boys be together in their weirdest adventures. Jayce being the absolutely outgoing one, the one believing in the importance of science as an ideal, the one enamored with the world the one with less than zero practical sense, with all his thingamabobs gathered from their expeditions, continuously wearing his Ionian kimonos everywhere - and Viktor being the self-agumented mechanical genius, making every expedition possible with his gear and creations, the practical mind, the tactician, the one for whom science is important as life, taking every possibility in account and making it exploitable and getting the best out of any situation with great intelligence.
I see them bickering daily but trusting each other for dear life and writing books together and giving lectures at the museum together as an improbable duo that surprisingly ticks like clockwork despite their differences being so drastic.
And… well yes I liked them, thank you for the support, as always.
// OH MY GOD THIS IS PERFECT THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH
I just love the idea of Jayce and Viktor being such polar opposites but also being able to work together. They’re not only coworkers but friends, even if they don’t see eye to eye on a lot of stuff. Together they can do amazing things, and their mutual love for science and discovery helps them bond better than anyone would ever expect them to. And then add all of that to a Victorian AU which is so much my aesthetic and I actually draw some inspiration from the time period for my normal verse too and -
This art made my day tyyyyyyyyy. ;w;
//Viktorian Viktor?
My oh my, what a silly concept.
Looks at url.
He could feel his eyes burning in the back of his sockets, an oddly comforting pain, slow and warm. He brought up his flesh hand, slowly running his natural hand through his soaken locks, bringing his ebony hair back into the slicked back style he was often seen with. Looking into his reflection he could scarce remember a time where his pallor wasn’t a pale reflection of moonlight, smouldering eyes of a devil staring back at him. He scrunched up his eyes, attempting to concentrate, opening his eyelids showed a calming blue.
He stepped back from the counter top, noticing a half full bottle of vodka on his right hand side, upon further inspection he saw the lid of said bottle had been haphazardly discarded upon the floor. Typical. His tertiary limb shot up above him, grabbing a glass from a shelf above him, squatting down to retrieve the closest soft-drink he had in his refrigerator and a second glass on an adjacent shelf. He quickly assembled this assortment of items until finally before him a pair of full glasses laid in wait.
“I can not speak for my acolytes, every flock should expect a black sheep or three...” He slowly passed over the spare drink to thee sheriff with a melancholy expression. How nostalgia bit him hard with his own statement. His third arm delicately held his drink, keeping it rather close to his torso.
“I’ve never taught them to experiment on the unwilling, never mind minors...” Servos whined as Viktor took a sip from his concoction, he was never good with mixing, always threw in that little bit extra.
He momentarily entertained the thought of hiring Singed as a butler, the man certainly knew his drinks, would probably be excellent at cleaning the manor.
“Children are not good for experimentation regardless, very expensive. Due to growth spurts you constantly have to adjust the augments and replace parts.” He crossed his arms over his chest, letting his flesh hand reach up to stroke the stubble he hadn’t realised he had.
