... Will be a year of growth. AĀ year of learning and discovering and stumbling and picking ourselves back up again.Ā
2019 will bring joy and peace and laughter. It will show us what matters and what we take for granted. It will be a year of changes. New perspectives, new ideas, new goals, and new paths for us to follow.Ā
It will be a year for renewed drive. For motivation and excitement and surprising opportunities.Ā
2019 will be a year in which we play the music as it comes to us, not read from a page but rather shared from the soul.Ā
I wonāt get a New Years kiss this year -- Jack is working a sleepover shift tonight, but heāll be home in the morning so Iāll plant one on him then and thatās good enough for me. Heās been my first kiss of the year for the last two years and thatās not changing anytime soon so I donāt mind if heās not here right now. Iām proud of him for what he does and his commitment to his work.Ā
Ending 2018 alone at home with our furbabies isnāt even nearly as depressing as it sounds anyway, if Iām being honest. Iāve spent my night knitting away in our little creative space with Netflix playing on the laptop, and itās calm and peaceful and honestly just the perfect way to slip quietly into this next year to come.Ā
The last 12 months have been less of a rollercoaster than 2017 and I count that as a win. There have still been ups and downs, as always, but lord knows for the most part itās been easier (work being the only exception, but weāre solving that problem in 7 weeksā times so meh). This last week Iāve had off in particular has been an absolute godsend, Jack and I are thriving, and our little household is so so so filled with love.Ā
I really donāt know what else to say. I started writing this without much of a direction in mind -- just my own small way of closing out 2018 and welcoming 2019. A subtle nod to what has been and gone, and what is still yet to come, I suppose.Ā
So... Hereās to hoping this year will be even better again, and that weāll keep growing and learning and moving closer to becoming the people we were made to be. We wonāt be letting anything hold us back from reaching our potential this year, that is a promise.Ā
Weāre shaking off 2018ā²s negativity once and for all, slipping gently into 2019 with open hearts, and wishing everyone a safe and happy night.Ā
In the meantime, Iām climbing into bed for a well deserved rest.Ā
