like i know you can be both too, they’re not opposites, and i’m probably also a little of both but i really did think i was polyamorous for a while then realized that i don’t have strong romantic attraction to people and idk something about that journey just makes a lot of sense in my head

Definitely. Anecdotally, lots of people seem to think they're bi + polyamorous because they're like "well I guess if I have to do this, I don't mind who it's with".

But then they realise that they're aro and it wasn't that they didn't mind who it was with, they didn't actually want to do it at all!
