New York- we're coming for you! Home for the summer before heading back out to Africa 👣 Feeling SO many mixed emotions right now! Today in between heart palpitations I grabbed @im.patrickshores' laptop to google "CALORIES IN CHIPOTLE BURRITO BOWL" (someone wants to eat her feelings- 'MUUUURICA!). And I saw he had changed his background to this. It says, "Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others." -1 Timothy 6:18 I so needed that today. No matter how broke you may feel (financially, emotionally, spiritually) remember this: YOU ALWAYS HAVE MORE TO GIVE. Be it of your time, your talent, or your treasure. Give til it hurts. And then one day, it won't. That's what this Missionmoon was all about -starting our marriage atop a bedrock of service to others around the world. if you change the way you look at things / the things you look at change. *TRUTHBOMB: This is NOT the story of two people who pulled a Scarface from Half Baked and just up and left jobs they hated to travel the world. Nope. The truth is, I cried in the parking lot as I walked out of Sweetwater Energy for that last time a year ago today thinking, "What the hell did I just do?" [In the Lifetime movie version of this scene in my life, Sarah Mclaughlin is crooning somewhere nearby with a lap full of rain-soaked puppies.] Patrick and I both had rewarding jobs with colleagues we loved. We felt fairly compensated. We had stellar bosses who are all people we'd want to grab a beer with (and did). So when people would ask why we chose to lose all that in an economy where our generation's siren song is "Don't Quit Your Day Job!"...we understood. And we had only one answer. Because, TIME. It's a fickle bitch. We've seen it robbed from people we care about who went to heaven far too young. Then again, time is the only thing that really belongs to us. Even he who has nothing else, has that. (Gracian) And it's a currency that you and I get to decide the value of. Every damn day. We had to take this Missionmoon around the world to figure it out: You can live out your legacy from anywhere. Even from your desk chair. As long as you have a tribe who loves you hard and you love them back, time breeds the ultimate fulfillment. Gumption and grace. These are yours for the taking. Now let's set the world on fire. Namaste from the set of the traveling yoga studio filming a Mayan Meditation class in front of the ruins for Mission 360! @Mymission360 is a highly curated video-on-demand platform for yoga, meditation, and fusion fitness classes. I wish I had discovered this back when we first left for our trip around the world. It wasn't always safe for me to venture out of my room to a local fitness center to get a workout in (or when traveling through certain regions where yoga is considered blasphemous) and I would've loved to have been able to take a quality yoga class from the safety of our dwelling. Now I can simply log into Mission-360.com and flow on the go, and am honored to be selected as a contributing studio. Stay tuned for the release of my Mind/Body DNA videos which harness the power of yoga and epigenetics. It's like taking your genes to the spa!

Happy 65th wedding anniversary to my Nana and Pop Pop! They see the best in eachother and I'm grateful that they reflect that playful love to our whole extended family.
