I've written a few stories over on Wattpad, but I figured I'd move over here & try my luck :) I'm a sucker for sapphic & lesbian stories, so that's the overarching theme most of my stories will maintain. Hope thereâs something here for everyone !
âYou are intentionally avoiding questioning,â she said, dropping to her knees to pick up the ledger and the spilled contents, huffing puffs of hot breaths in the cool air, her mind becoming pure lustful static.
And then Caitlyn felt them. Fingers. Soft and firm. They took her chin and pulled her face upward slowly, until her eyes were locked onto those lips and the tiny scar parting them.
The young woman looked avid. Hungry. Caitlynâs breathing stopped for a second, her mouth drying.
âI can help you find what you are looking for,â she said as her thumb slid across Caitlynâs lower lip, making it tingle with electric heat, âjust not from in here.â
Entranced by the sensation, Caitlynâs tongue peaked out of her slightly agape mouth, finding the prisonerâs finger. It tasted like something sheâd want to eat.
...
That's a tiny excerpt from Chapter 1 of THE CANON, our little fic that is all about the smutification of all the Caitvi iconic moments.
We are four chapters in, and tomorrow we are adding Chapter 5, so check it out!
Pls visit this personâs profile ! Her old acc got booted & Iâd love for her to reclaim as many followers as possible. The writingâs really good too.<3
Hi, just wanted to finally reach out and say what a huge fan I've been of both SOMT & GALS. I love your writing and how in-depth you go with each action & chapter. I'm very invested and I can't wait to see what comes next for both of them. Not to idolize, but it was SOMT that insipred me to begin writing my own stories, so thank you. :) <3
· · ââ ⧠Clingy Roommate!Jinx with an oral fixation. . . 18+
Roommate!Jinx who is always in your space, sitting on your desk as you study, sliding into your bed at night to snuggle up, leaning into you when youâre both in class. Itâs no surprise she got even more clingy when the two of you started making out.
You didnât go further than kissing⊠yet.
But her mouth always strayed from yours. Kissing down your jaw and neck, stopping to suck on the soft skin there. Small noises leaving her throat as she left mark after mark.
Despite having to cover your neck in makeup after, you still indulged her. Mostly because it felt good. Running your hands through her blue hair as she buried her face in your neck, encouraging her to suck harder.
Neither of you talked about it. Her eyes still lingered on your neck anyways.
Roommate!Jinx who was the one to take it further. Grabbing your hand from where it was holding her waist and bringing it up to her mouth and sliding two of your fingers past her lips.
Her eyes closed as she swirled her tongue around the two digits, a high pitched whine falling from her lips as her hips moved grinding down against your leg.
You just lied there beneath her, propped up against the headboard watching in awe as she moved against you. Only then did you experiment, curling your free fingers around her chin and pulling her closer to slide the two fingers in her mouth back across her tongue until they forced her to gag.
You wouldâve pulled out if not for the loud moan that left her lips and the way her thighs clenched tighter around your leg.
did anyone else go crazy when the S2 opening for arcane came out and you could see vi's vipple or was that just me because im a pervert and noticed it very quickly

This is a call out post, to protect our spaces as queer women.
This is a call out post directed to @ijwrsmff
Recently i saw a post of vi and caitlyn X Male Reader. Naturally, due to cait and vi being CONFIRMED lesbian characters, i was beyond appalled. I checked the comments under that fic to see if anyone had said anything, or if anyone had reposted the fic with a response, i found nothing. I moved to their blog, intrigued, because has nobody really spoken up about this?? Sure enough, i found a post that they made responding to an anon who had called them out, to which they responded to the anon with these EXACT words:
âThe only thing I found on their sexuality was that they were queer. It doesnât explicitly state on any official media that theyâre lesbians. Itâs possible theyâre bi or pan, and while I agree itâs probable theyâre lesbians, this was also a request. I wasnât going to not write it, even if I donât fully believe theyâre not lesbians. Especially since the official media only states that theyâre queer.
I donât accept hate on my page, and Iâm not going to shame the requester because they like the characters. If official media stated them as 100% lesbians it would also be a bit different. Iâve gotten some comments on this, and while I donât support erasing sexualities in canon media, againâŠit only states theyâre queer.â
So to @ijwrsmff, you say you did your research, no? I call absolute bullshit.
âTheyâre only stated as queerâÂ
âIt doesnât explicitly state on any official media that theyâre lesbiansâ
Iâve done ACTUAL research, unlike you, and here are all the OFFICIAL sources iâve personally found that explicitly establish vi and caitlyn as lesbians. Keep in mind, these were extremely easy to find, so your lazy ass has absolutely no excuse for claiming you conducted âresearchâ while somehow failing to uncover a single one of these sources, or just a single source in general.

Ben Forbes (DRAGGLES), who is part of the comms and community teams for League of Legends and League of Legends: WILD RIFT. And is currently the Editor-in-Chief for 2XKO, Riot's upcoming 2D fighting game. [click for link to read more about him]
Why did i mention Ben Forbes? Because he made this post in 2025 [click for link], explicitly stating that vi is NOT bi, nor any other sexuality, but rather strictly LESBIAN. More importantly, he explicitly stated that the narrative team had specifically asked him to make that statement publicly. So unless youâre suggesting that a member of Riotâs own narrative team somehow doesnât understand their own character, your argument falls apart immediately.
During Lesbian Visibility Week, The League of Legends official Twitter account made this post, using the lesbian flag colors, depicting vi and cait alongside other lesbian characters from Riot. [click for link]
Vi and cait both have two separate pages on the Fandom Wikia website, one for them in LoL the game, and one for them in Arcane the show. And in all four of them, two for cait and two for vi, theyâre labeled as lesbians.

Vi: Arcane [click for link]
Cait: LoL [click for link]
Cait: Arcane [click for link]
Here is Riot Gameâs official website, sharing fan art during pride month, in 2023. Some of which show caitlyn and vi with the lesbian flag. I donât see why they would put that on their OFFICIAL website, if they did not agree with it. [click for link]
This took me no more than 15 minutes to find. Iâm almost certain that if i actually sat down and conducted a more extensive search, i wouldâve found even more sources. So you claiming that you conducted âresearchâ and somehow found NOTHING AT ALL that explicitly identifies vi and cait as lesbians is not only ridiculous, it is visibly dishonest.
You said âwhile I agree itâs probable theyâre lesbians, this was also a request. I wasnât going to not write it.â Why not? Youâre acting as though you have absolutely no agency nor free will over what you choose to create, as though someone sending you a request somehow absolves you of personal responsibility for choosing to fulfill it. Youâre a 27 year old, acting like youâre not old enough to distinguish right from wrong, or to understand that you are fully capable of exercising your own judgment and refusing to participate in something you know is wrong.
And that is especially hypocritical considering you claim you âdonât supportâ queer and lesbian erasure, while actively facilitating it. You had multiple opportunities to acknowledge the canon, reconsider the request, or simply refuse/ignore it. Instead, you chose to turn a blind eye to the easily accessible official sources that, without a doubt, establish caitlyn and vi as lesbians, and then used the ambiguity of the word âqueerâ as a convenient justification for writing them as something they canonically are NOT.
You claim you donât support queer erasure while actively CONTRIBUTING to it. You are actively creating a space where men can come into your inbox and request fantasies involving literal lesbians, and instead of questioning why they feel entitled to do so, what it is that you mightâve done to make them think your space is a safe space for them, you defend their right to make those requests because you apparently donât want to âshameâ them.
Us as queer people, us as LESBIANS, didnât endure years and years of discrimination, torment, and absolute mental and physical torture, something a lot of us still experience to this day, something i experience everyday, just for those same people to come along, sexualize us, fantasize about us, and strip away the very identity that our representation is supposed to depict, all while hiding behind the excuse that itâs ânot realâ or ânot official.â
Theyâre dating for fucks sake. There is an entire scene where caitlyn shows clear discomfort toward flirting with a man, then goes OUT OF HER WAY to seek out a woman instead. There is an overwhelming amount of official lesbian art, posts, and promotional material surrounding them. Riot Games have literally reposted fanart of Caitlyn and vi with the lesbian flag. Riot Games have made OFFICIAL art of Caitlyn and vi with the lesbian flag.
At what point does it become enough evidence for you people? When the company that CREATED THEM explicitly associates them with lesbian representation? When members of Riotâs own teams publicly identify vi as a lesbian? When official promotional material depicts them alongside other lesbian characters?
You are beyond appalling to me for enabling this behavior, for participating in it, for writing what you wrote, and for deliberately providing a safe space for men to fantasize about literal lesbians.
âI didnât want to shame the person who sent that request.â
If they know anything about LoL or Arcane, they almost certainly know that cait and vi are lesbians. They knew what they were requesting. And yes, they SHOULD be called out for it. They donât get to hide behind the fact that you were the one who ultimately decided to fulfill their request. Both of you deserve criticism for your respective choices.
Iâve said this already, but donât even attempt to lie your way out of this by claiming you didnât know. You said yourself that you conducted âresearchâ and found nothing establishing cait or vi as lesbians.
IT TOOK ME NO MORE THAN 15 MINUTES TO FIND WHAT YOU ALLEGEDLY COULDNâT.
That is NOT a failure of available information. Thatâs a failure of your own willingness to look.
I donât care if this makes those men out there who want to sexualize lesbians so badly angry. Good. Let them be angry. Iâll continue to speak up for whatâs right and for my people, because yes, it IS that serious. You will NOT turn our safe spaces into something else. You will NOT take the very little representation that we have in comparison to heterosexual people and deliberately reinterpret it into something more convenient for you.
Caitlyn and vi are lesbians. Thatâs not an invitation for debate. Thatâs not an âinconvenienceâyou can simply disregard by saying âtheyâre only queer.â In order to justify and excuse what you want to write. Caitlyn and Vi are lesbians, THAT is what they are.
Deal with it.
I know there are probably some queer women out there who mightâve seen that fic about cait and vi x reader, and i know it mightâve made them feel a particularly unpleasant way, but they mightâve been hesitant to say anything. I know because some of my mutuals reached out to me, and it genuinely hurt to see them feeling too scared to speak up about something like this happening in their OWN space.Â
No matter how hard we try to build and preserve these safe spaces for ourselves, there will always be people who feel entitled to enter them and undermine the very sense of safety weâve created.
I donât blame them. I donât blame any queer women who mightâve wanted to say something but felt too scared, uncomfortable, or worried about what might happen if they did. After all, our people have been subjected to discrimination and hostility for generations, and itâs completely understandable that some of us might hesitate to put ourselves in a position where we could be targeted for speaking out.
But iâm making this post because i want you to know that youâre NOT alone. Iâm here, and i can assure you that there are so many other people who probably saw that post and felt the exact same way you did.Â
You are not being dramatic, you are not overreacting, and you are not wrong for feeling uncomfortable seeing something like that in a space that is supposed to be safe for people like us.
So to all the queer women reading this, if you need anything, whether you want to talk, vent, or simply have someone who understands, my dms are always open for you.
(Forgive me for using the âJinx X Readerâ despite this post not being about jinx. The person who made the X Male Reader fic used it in that pist, and i wanted to reach anyone who mightâve seen it, by using similar tags. I deeply apologize for any inconvenience.)
This is the fic they made, alongside the anon they responded to:
Credit to @msfarnon who made a gorgeous piece of art that inspired this chapter. Essentially, what if Violet was alive in the alternate dimension ? This is purely to sate my own curiosity, so here we go !
Space. Time. Reality. It's more than a linear path, it's a prism of endless possibilities. Where a single choice can give light to vast new realities, no matter how seemingly insignificant. In the time you know, Sera sacrificed herself and was thrown into an alternate dimension where Vi had died years ago. But what if things turned out differently ? Let's take a look, shall we ?
We begin with the loss of Vander, his monstrous form oozing lava from almost every orifice while the creature's shrieks drowned out his voice like a whisper among screams. Vi is injured, a slash mark across her abdomen from a Noxian spear. Caitlyn is lost, scrambling to regain her bearings. Jinx is panicking, trying to find Isha. Sera is distracted, cutting down Noxians as she lets her momentary anger take control.
Isha is resolute, charging into the hordes of soldiers towards Vander as he is impaled over and over, but he slices through each soldier like nothing. Suffice to say, it is a massacre, but in this version of events, redemption supersedes selflessness.
Sera is too caught up in her own grief, but Vi has never seen more clearly. She spots Isha, hears Jinx's wails of agony, realizes that her sister truly has changed, and that's all it takes for her to summon the courage to charge into the hordes of soldiers herself. A second scream joins Jinx's, no doubt Cait's, but Vi's heartache can wait.
She spots the kid as she slides underneath Vander, and quickly does the same, briefly startling Isha before she realizes who has joined her. They both realize that there's not enough time to escape, and Isha's determination shows in the way she grips Jinx's pistol, shoving three gemstones into the chamber one by one.
Vi glances up, seeing Jinx being held back by both Caitlyn & Sera as all three are sobbing and pleading for them to come back. As the pistol whirs to life, blue bolts firing off as the energy built up, Vi wrapped her arms around Isha, protecting the kid as best she would. Isha leaned into the gesture, and Vi couldn't help the tears that escaped. Vander did always say that she had a big heart.
As the weapon finally exploded, coating the area in a blinding white light, Vi's last sight was the three people she loved most in this world, who now had to live without her. It stung, but making up for everything she'd put Powder through - the abandonment, the feelings of inferiority, needing to prove herself, not listening to her - it only felt right for her last act to prove that she took could change for the better.
The explosion consumed them in milliseconds, but it felt infinitely longer, each molecule individually consumed by the magical blast. It was oddly comforting, if slightly uncomfortable, as Vi's eyes fluttered shut, letting herself succumb fully to whatever happened next.
Sera POV
There were no words to describe the pain I felt. My throat was incredibly raw, my voice had long failed, and yet I still screamed, unable to comprehend what I had just witnessed. My cheeks still ran with tears, and my knees threatened to buckle with each tensing of a muscle. Vi was dead, for real this time.
Someone jolted me from my grief, a pair of cerulean orbs meeting mine as Cait's pained face came into view. Her words were drowned out by the ringing in my ears, but her grip on my arm was enough to clue me in. With my help, we picked up Jinx and made ourselves scarce before the Noxians could notice.
Each step away from the commune felt heavier, like my boots were filled with cement, but we managed to make it all the way back to the Kiramman Mansion, the three of us collapsing on Cait's gigantic bed as the adrenaline finally began to wear off.
It didn't feel real. It couldn't possibly be, Vi couldn't be dead. She was just probably really hurt, and maybe she's still there waiting for us. Yeah, yeah that's it ! I leaped up, the momentary surge powering each move as I pleaded with Cait to go back. "We left Vi there all alone, she could be really hurt ! C'mon, Cait, please !", I begged, but Cait's sorrowful eyes looked back with sympathy and pity.
Even Jinx laid her hand on my shoulder, her pink eyes shimmering with unshed tears. "I'm sorry Sera ...", She whispered, wrapping her arms around me tightly. "W-What do you mean ? She's alive ! I know she is !, C'mon guys, we have to go help her !", I said, trying to convince myself more than anything.
Cait stood, approaching us carefully as she gently cupped my cheeks. "Vi's gone, darling. I'm sorry.", She stated, clearly not wanting to admit it herself, and that's what finally broke me. Hearing it from the two other people who loved her as much as I did, nothing was more sobering than that.
My dam broke, my knees finally gave out, and as I fell into their arms, I cried. Nothing had ever hurt this much, no wound had stabbed so deep, and for the second time, I unleashed an otherworldly scream of grief. It reverberated across the room, but Cait & Jinx held me firmly through it all, lowering themselves with me as both my voice & my body gave out.
They whispered sweet nothings, trying to console me as they also processed this loss, but I could only scream as my tears fell onto the carpet. Eventually, I ran out of air, and my coughs replaced the scream, my throat's rawness now doubled. Exhaustion finally caught up to me, and my eyes slammed shut, thrusting me into the dark of my own grief-addled brain. 'Wherever you are, Vi, I hope you know that I will always love you.'
Vi POV
I'd been through a shit-ton of stuff in my life, but this took the cake. I felt like I had been torn apart in the worst way possible and put back together like no one cared which parts went where. My eyes opened, a blank white void greeting me as I noticed Isha's absence. Damn, that stung more than dying ever could.
The void suddenly shuddered, a multi-colored web rapidly expanding in front of me. Before I could question it, I felt myself being pulled apart again, my voice failing as I was promptly thrown in a random direction. My head smacked into something as my eyes shut again, pain emanating from the area of impact.
It only lasted a moment, as my eyes fluttered open to meet my reflection, but something was off. My hair was longer, more tamed, but still me. I looked healthier, my face wasn't as pale, less scars than normal, but I still had the VI tattoo plain as day on my cheekbone. Glad to see some things haven't changed.
Glancing out at my outfit, I was a little confused. It was simple, a red robe with gold trimming tied around the waist. A delicate Vi was embroidered on the right breast region, almost like a name tag. A sleepy whine disrupted my thoughts as an arm snaked its way around my neck.
"Vi ~ Come back to bed, love.", Cait teasingly pleaded, her other arm wrapping around my waist as she pressed into my back. I couldn't help the smile that emerged at her presence, nor could I resist giving her hand a gentle peck as I turned to fully take her in.
She looked exactly how I remembered, her porcelain skin as soft as ever, with that cheeky smirk plastered on her face as her brilliant eyes stared into mine. "Sorry, Cupcake, just got distracted.", I instinctively replied, kissing her forehead gently as she giggled.
"Well, don't stay distracted. You've got a big day tomorrow.", She said, which instantly threw me off, but I tried not to let it show. "Heh, yeah. Hey, do you mind if I go for a walk, clear my head a bit ?", I asked, and Cait raised an eyebrow, but playfully smiled and nodded. "I hope you're not planning on going out dressed like that.", She jabbed, referring to the lack of clothes under my robe.
I blushed, chuckling as I put together a casual outfit, finding a pair of black pants, a white crop-top, & my red jacket scattered throughout the room. With one last kiss to Cait's beautiful face, I left the mansion, resigning myself to wandering Piltover to try and clear my mind.
Exploring the city in broad daylight was such a difference from trying to sneak through it at night. The sun caked everything in a warm hug, a gentle breeze blowing through the streets. There seemed to be a lighter atmosphere over the whole city, with enforcers far less common than normal.
As I reached the bridge, it became very obvious that I wasn't in the same Piltover. There were vendor booths dotted along both sides, and both Pilties & Trenchers mingled with each other. I had to keep my jaw from hitting the pavement, and feeling quite uncomfortable, I quickly walked past, muscle memory taking over as I entered Zaun.
After a few minutes, I reached my destination, which thankfully didn't look any different than normal : The Last Drop. Home sweet home, or at least it was. There was a more welcoming vibe to the place now, and as I stepped through the doors, it instantly became clear why.
There at the bar, looking only slightly older, was Vander, laughing and chatting with Benzo. It was such a bizarre thing to see, but I was honestly just happy to see them alive. As I walked over, Vander noticed me and smiled, turning fully to face me as I sat down. "Hey there kid. Didn't think we'd be seeing you this early on.", He said, his signature accent warming my heart more than he could know.
I chuckled, trying to play it cool, but the surprises were apparently not done yet. "Heya sis !", Powder's distinctive voice called from my left, and despite my shock, I looked over as she approached me. She looked like a brand new person compared to Jinx. Her hair was done in twin knots, a green streak splitting the left one, and it was noticeably shorter than before.
She joyfully wrapped her arms around my neck while giggling, her form making my seat lean back for a second. "Hey sis.", I greeted, feeling my heart flutter at seeing her so genuinely happy again. She leaned her head over my shoulder, a carefree energy about her that felt brand-new and yet familiar.
"Good timing. I was just about to go visit Sera. You wanna come with ?", She asked, and I felt myself nodding before I could even fully register what she'd said. "Yeah of course !", I added, and Powder chuckled, standing up fully as I turned and stood up. "Great, just let me grab Ekko real quick.", She said, walking behind the bar and out of sight.
I glanced around the lobby again, but my eyes caught on two very familiar faces, ones I hadn't seen for over seven years : Mylo & Claggor. They were older, Mylo had a goofy mustache now, but they were still unmistakable.
They noticed me and waved, so I waved back with a smile, but before any conversation could be made, Powder came walking back in with Ekko in tow, but he seemed off. I couldn't quite put my finger on why, but something told me that he wasn't quite himself today.
I stood, joining them as we approached the exit. "See ya around, kiddos !", Vander said, waving goodbye as we left the bar. We waved back, the doors swiftly shutting as the sun greeted us once more.
A comfortable silence settled between us as Powder led the way, eventually taking me to an empty turbine hall that had clearly been decorated to be her home away from home. I glanced around, hoping to see Sera waiting to surprise me, but the silence told me that wasn't the case. The realization truly hit me when Powder knelt before an alter inside a tent off to the side.
As I knelt beside her, I shakily inhaled, feeling the soul-crushing truth finally crash down around me. Sera was dead, really dead. "H-How ... ?", I muttered, but Powder apparently heard me. "You don't remember ?", She asked, a hurt lining her words.
I shook my head, trying to seem confused while still processing the worst news of my life. "I-I don't ...", I mumbled, but the words failed to form, and apparently Ekko shared my distraught. "So that explains why there's no Hextech here ...", He said, which definitively told me that he was the same Ekko that I knew.
Powder frowned, "I don't know what you're talking about, but it's not funny to joke about her, Ekko." He sighed, "It was a mistake to come here." I turned to him while frowning, but I didn't say anything. He shrunk under my gaze and stood, packing up his things and quickly leaving.
Once he'd gone, I placed a hand on Powder's shoulder, which made her briefly tense. "I'm sorry for him, Powder.", I said comfortingly, and she shuddered, lunging into me and gripping my shirt tightly. The impact threw me off for a moment, but the sound of her crying quickly centered me.
I hugged her back, rubbing circles as we sat there, each mourning Sera in our own way. After a few minutes, Powder took a deep breath before slowly pulling away, blowing out the matches at the altar before standing up fully. "C'mon, we gotta get ready for the dance tonight.", She said, holding out a hand for me.
I smiled, taking it and letting her pull me up. "I'll meet you back here in a bit and you can do my makeup if you'd like ?", I suggested, to which she beamed, "Really ?!" I smiled and nodded, gently kissing her forehead. She sped off to get her things ready, so I decided to go for a walk through Zaun.
The afternoon breeze flowed through the streets as I explored, a cleanness to the air that felt unnatural and yet welcoming. This place was so much different from mine, and yet it was missing the most important part - her. Was this world really so much better without her ?
No, because it didn't have her light in it, her love, her care, her determination to make things better. Nothing was worth losing that. After a while, I heard a soft guitar playing nearby, so I followed it to the source : Heimerdinger performing in the square where Vander's statue had been. I leaned against the nearest wall as he began singing, and that's when the tears flowed.
Go spin the wheel and see where it lands.
Join in the circus, stay for a dance.
Right when the war quiets down, strike up the band.
Keep marchin' on, my friend, and do what ya can.
Flashes of memories swam through my vision, each more painful than the last. The job we took, going to that lab, us breaking in, Powder discovering those orbs. It began to click, and I was helpless as the agony fully overtook me.
Wait 'til your brothers and sisters see where ya been,
And if you love the journey more than the end,
Go ahead, just turn that hourglass around and count to ten.
This ain't goodbye, no more. Nah, it just began.
The explosion, Sera diving in front of Powder to protect her before I could reach her. It hit her full force, and her limp body fell to the floor. As we regained our bearings, the first sound that reached my ears was Powder's sobs. I scrambled over to her, checking desperately for a pulse, but there was nothing. She was gone.
March on, my friends. Oh oh oh oh !
Oh oh, oh oh oh oh ! Oh oh ...
Go and make some mistakes, you like and ya learn.
And where the chips fall, is not your concern.
Everything around us was muffled, Mylo and Claggor didn't say anything as the reality of the situation hit them. I clutched Sera's body in my arms, sharing with Powder in the vain hope that she was just unconscious, but our sobs and the otherwise quiet apartment said otherwise.
The enforcers burst through the door, but upon realizing what had happened, they froze in their tracks. A younger looking Jayce pushed through, seeing us crowded around Sera, and the realization dawned on him. A head of blue hair also pushed through, Cait, and everything snapped into place.
Sera's death had brought Piltover and Zaun together, and Hextech had never been invented. Cait and I hadn't found each other out of our own volition, it was trauma-bonding. Did she feel guilty for me ? Pity for her association to all this ? Nothing was right here, and I needed to find my way home. I needed to find Ekko.
Like the wind on a breeze, fires will burn.
Just let the gears, my friend ...
Oh, just let the gears, my friend !
Let 'em turn ...
The small crowd clapped as Heimerdinger finished his number, and a determination settled within me. I spotted a distinct head of white dreadlocks in the crowd, and subtly made my way over to him. When he noticed my presence, he tensed, "I'm sorry about earlier. I don't know what got into me."
I grasped his shoulder, "I know, kid. Whatever you're planning to get us back to where we belong, I want in." His eyebrows raised, but upon locking gazes, he nodded. He walked over to Heimerdinger and the two started chatting, but I knew I couldn't keep up with all their smart talk if I tried.
Eventually the two started walking away, and Ekko gestured for me to follow, so I fell in step with them as we made our way back to The Last Drop to discuss potential ways to get home. Ekko showed us a small capsule with a bunch of gem shards in it, and I gasped at the implication of where he'd gotten them.
Heimerdinger almost dismissed the notion of recreating the anomaly that sent them here, but a bit of pleading from Ekko changed his tune. "We still need one more mind for this to work, and I'll need your help.", He said, turning to me. I knew who he meant without another word, so I nodded.
"I have something I need to show her, and I think it'll work to make up for earlier.", He continued as we walked over to the bar where Powder was. Despite her hesitation, she agreed to come with us, and Ekko led the way to the tree where the Firelights' home had been.
I kept Powder's eyes covered as we entered the central hall, lifting them so she could properly see what Ekko had done. He'd painted a beautiful mural of Sera, as we knew her, all grown up. She looked incredible, her beautiful black & green hair flowing as she struck various poses, her radiant smile apparent in all of them.
I couldn't help but shed a few tears myself, the memory of her warmth all too real. Ekko played off the design as being from his dream, and Powder bought it as she studied the painting in great detail. After a bit of careful prodding from Ekko, Powder agreed to help us with a 'zero-loss perpetual energy machine', as Ekko called it.
Once we'd made it back to the bar, the three of them began discussing potential ways to make their idea work. Hours upon hours of work flew by, numerous variations being tested as they seemed to get closer and closer. Ekko even took the time to say hi to Sera properly, which I smiled at.
As time went by, I noticed Powder growing more and more affectionate towards Ekko, a kindness in her eyes that said 'I really do care for this person.' The two spent more time together than I'd ever seen, even when we were kids. It was honestly adorable to watch, and I'm almost certain Powder caught my knowing smirk once or twice.
Eventually, they succeeded, although it was hard to tell at first. The anomaly was so small, but after a few tests, Ekko realized that it was a time loop. Further testing revealed the limit to be four seconds, although he wouldn't say how exactly he knew. The thousand-yard stare was unmissable, though.
Powder tapped my shoulder, "It's about time to get ready for that party tonight, sis." I nodded and stood, the two of us leaving to get ready. After finding a pair of dark green pants with brown straps, some nice black dress shoes, a black v-neck top with straps to tighten the collar, and a black long-sleeve top, I sat down by Powder's mirror in her hideout to wait.
When she came back in, I had to gasp. She's let her hair down, and it hung down to about her shoulder blades. She was wearing a frankly amazing-looking white dress with a black jacket over it, and her signature over-sized shoes. "Woah, you look amazing sis.", I said, and she smiled, shrugging as she grabbed her makeup supplies.
"Eh, it's not that amazing.", She dismissively said, but I vehemently disagreed. "No, it's amazing and you deserve to know it.", I stated, leaving no room for argument. She chuckled, "If you say so. Now, about the hair ..." Hmm, what to do about it ? "Wanna help me style it ?", I suggested, to which she eagerly nodded while grabbing her hair brush.
After several minutes of fighting with my wild locks, we managed to get most of it into a tidy bun while having the rest sweep over the right side of my face. It felt formal, but not too fancy. Powder definitely liked it, and with that out of the way, she started working on my makeup.
She'd already done hers, with subtle blue eye-shadow atop black cat-lines. Intentional, but not overdone. She stuck to mainly eyeliner and lashes for me, doing a stylized cat-eye design that swooped up at the ends. When she was done, she stepped back to admire her work. "Lookin' good, sis.", She said proudly, turning the chair to face her mirror.
I had to agree with her, I looked amazing. "Thank you, Powder, for everything.", I said, standing up and turning to her. She raised an eyebrow but chuckled, "No problem sis, now go get your girl so we can make this night one to remember."
The thought of Cait down here dancing with us was too tempting to resist, and with one last hug to Powder, I darted off, trying not to sweat through the meticulously crafted work she'd done. After a few minutes, I arrived at the mansion and knocked on the front door.
Seconds passed with a glacial pace, but eventually Cait opened the door, sporting the most beautiful blue dress I'd ever seen. It fit her to a T, but without being over-designed. It was perfect. She chuckled at my awestruck face, offering her arm to me, which I took. With the precision of a sniper, we descended the stairs and left the grounds once more, retracing my steps from this morning until we found our destination.
Entering the bar now, it was bumping with dj music, a jovial atmosphere having settled in the room as people mingled & partied. I spotted Ekko at the bar as Benzo sat down next to him, the two striking up a conversation just out of range. As we approached, SIlco walked up behind Vander, which pulled the air from my lungs.
They seemed completely at ease though, and we reached the bar right as Silco said, "The greatest thing we can do in life, is find the power to forgive." The words registered with me on a level I hadn't expected, the truth in them apparent.
"There's the ladies of the hour !", Vander greeted, with Cait waving politely as I smiled. Before any more conversations could be started, the lights dimmed, and the audience roared as balloons of confetti exploded above us. A noticeably different music track began playing, one that sounded very romantic, and as Ekko & Powder met each other on the dance floor, I took Cait's hand, and we danced.
The world around us moved in slow motion, as we danced in sync, just enjoying ourselves. Her giggles accentuated the song, and before I knew it, I was laughing too. There were no worries, no expectations, but despite how free I felt in the moment, something felt wrong.
Sera should be here, with us. Paradise wasn't complete without her, no matter how appealing it may be. As the music wound to a close, Cait caressed my cheek, and I leaned into it, her touch the only comfort to my grief. She glanced down, and I knew what she wanted, so I leaned in, our lips gently connecting as the song ended.
It was every bit as amazing as I remembered, and for a brief moment, I let go. There were no thoughts besides Cait, nothing else mattered, and that was the last bit of motivation I needed. As we pulled away, I looked at her while smiling. "I love you so much, Cupcake. More that you'll ever know.", I confessed, to which she raised an eyebrow while smirking.
"Are you ok, darling ?", She asked, and I nodded, "Yeah, I just have to go help Ekko with something real quick. I promise I'll be back soon." She nodded, and I left, quickly finding Ekko as he was leaving. We made our way back to Powder's hideout, entering to find Heimerdinger finishing up his massive upgrades to the time machine.
As we got on the platform and the machine powered up, Heimerdinger thanked Ekko for giving him the chance to truly live, wishing me the best with Cait as he jumped off the platform to connect some wires. Powder and Cait suddenly rushed in, but there was nothing they could do as Heimerdinger made the connection, his body vanishing in an instant at the anomaly reached its full power.
A white flash briefly engulfed us, before I felt myself become lighter. Opening my eyes revealed Cait & Powder looking at us while holding the bodies of this world's Ekko & Vi, their jaws slack with disbelief. I looked at both of them, wanting to say how much I loved them, but before I could, the anomaly collapsed, catapulting us away.
'Bye sis, it was fun.', I thought as Ekko & I felt across the multi-colored web that I'd seen before, the two of us becoming separated as he flew into one part of the web while I crashed into another. As everything went black, I could only hope & pray that I could see Cait & Sera again, and make things right. Here's to hoping.
(AN : That turned out a lot differently that I thought, but I hope ya'll like it anyways !)
