[Vince zipped up his suitcase, tossing it on the bed while he finished packing up his carry on bag as well. He turned his head to look at Chi with a smile]

Excited for Europe? [He asked, putting a couple books in the bag incase he wanted to try and read those while on the plane] It's going to be a long flight there which I'm not looking forward to but I think it'll be worth it.

Of course we own a cast iron skillet. And the griddle you bought forever ago is cast iron, too.

It's just what it's called to make it so nothing sticks, Ken. You basically just rub it with oil.

No, Kenny. That's outdated information. That used to be true years ago--like back when my Lola was our age--because back then, soap was a lot stronger and contained ingredients that would strip the cast iron.

Regular soap that you get from the store isn't like that anymore. So you can use soap. I still prefer not to if I can since it does take away a little bit of the seasoning, but for a tough stain? I probably wouldn't soak it, but sure. I'd use it.

Ya learn something new every day. Do we even own a cast iron pan? And I still don't get what it means to season the pan. You're not putting like salt or garlic powder or anything on it so why is it called that?

Vince, you can absolutely clean a cast iron skillet like normal if you want.

Why would you use a Foreman grill when a cast iron skillet grills things just fine and doesn't dry it out?

Well one, my dorm didn't have an actual kitchen let alone a full stove. And two, I learned what that was when we started dating. And three... I still don't understand how those work since you don't clean it like normal.

Yes but there was a time when I first started college and did football and baseball and thought just eating grilled chicken was a good idea. So I bought one of those George Forman grill things and used that in my dorm room. It was a time. A time filled with lots of very dry and burned chicken.
