definition - a flag for when the user was unintentionally or subconsciously inspired or based off of another being the user knew. the user may not actually be an introject or factkin of that being, but the user may have a similar role or source {or something else!} to the being the user is based off of. this is intended for members of plural collectives but isn't exclusive.

the act of doing this may be called mirroring. somebeing who is mirrorbased may be called a reflector. the being the reflector is mirroring may be called the reflectee. though, these are all optional terms, purely for fun or clarification.

Holoskin — from “holos,” whole or entire in Greek, refers to someone who identifies and perceives themselves as a specific character physically, mentally, or psychologically—and, depending on the case, spiritually—all at the same time, as a whole.

Someone who calls themselves a holoskin literally sees and feels themselves as their involuntary identification character at all times—it is a permanent identity. In other words, the person firmly believes that they are that character in real life, and may experience dysphoria and/or body dysmorphia due to this extreme identification.

The connection and identification are strong and extreme, of great importance to the person’s identity. Seeing and/or interacting with: twins, specific headcanons, hate, misinformation, etc., regarding the character can cause discomfort and/or irritability because it is not a Holoskin’s “true identity.”

The experiences of being a Holoskin are:

Extreme physical, mental, psychological, and, depending on the individual, spiritual identification with a character.

Feeling dysphoria and/or body dysmorphia.

Believing sincerely and genuinely that one is the character in real life.

The person believes or feels they are trapped in a body and reality that does not belong to them.

Meaning of colors:

Red — intense emotions

Purple — spirituality

Blue — mindset / mind

White — Innocence or genuineness in feelings / experiences

The various colors represent combinations of these meanings

This term was created entirely based on my own experiences, and for me. I may change it in the future to better describe what I go through on a daily basis; it wasn’t meant to be used for deception and/or manipulation ,, Anyone who identifies with this can use it, I really don’t mind.

A phenomenon where your identities go through a cycle or go through a pattern. This doesn't mean you cycle through these identities, it means your identities follow this cycle or pattern, loosely or not.

For example: John is Otherlink and links as a lemon. John experiences ups and downs et cetera, and stops linking. John links as an animal and experiences the same ups and downs, et cetera.

This is based off my experience with my identities.

This can be used for any identity, whether fictional or factual or both or not.
