also pro/darkship, bigots, and nsfw dni... im neurodivergent and a minor ☹️☹️☹️
I remember in the past I got so spiteful of the Treestaff propaganda that I made my own headcanon that Vinestaff's wooden arm had semi-sentience and so much bloodlust. I still prefer that over turning my girl into a tree
this combined with vine staff's job as a cashier would make for very interesting scenarios methinks
sorry if i sounded really mean in the original post i have reflected and remembered that new phighting fans are not going to accurately know the lore especially since its kind of hard to figure out where to read it, so i hope my post can help consolidate that
Hi, this is a post where I summarize basic info about Phighting Lore hooray
I would heavily recommend going on the Official Phighting Wiki for more detailed and up to date information. Start with reading about the Inphernals, the regions, and each of the in-game Phighters.
Remember, the url is phighting.wiki, not phighting.fandom.com. The fandom wiki is not official and contains a lot of misinformation and also fandom.com sucks don't use it.
I would also recommend reading Death In The Family if you haven't already. Gives great insight into the world of Phighting. Speaking of which...
Phighting, Basically
Phighting takes place in the Inpherno, the world where all Phighting characters reside in.
There are four regions in the Inpherno: Playground, Blackrock, Thieves' Den, and Lost Temple.
Playground is separated into two parts: The Splintered Skies, and Craterdust Capital. This separation happened when Windforce took out the land of Playground and flew it up into the sky where it now floats as an island. She claimed the island and now the Splintered Skies faction is located there. Craterdust Capital, an urban city, is what is left of Playground all the way on the ground.
Blackrock is located at a place with icy mountains and is ruled by the Korblox Administration. Anyone that spawns there is immediately put to work as a scientist, engineer, or a soldier, though all soldiers were recently replaced with Biografts.
Thieves' Den is an archipelago where multiple clans reside, the only known one being the Darkage Clan. The Darkage Clan are a faction of warriors that rule over Thieves' Den.
Lost Temple is a hot desert. There is currently a civil war within the region, being fought by the Redcliff Wranglers and the Church of the TRUE EYE for control over the Lost Temple Spawn Point. These two factions both formed as a result of the Scorch. The TRUE EYE church is a cult worshiping an unknown deity (not any of the Swords). It is founded and led by Father Overseer. The Redcliff Wranglers are a group of inphernals against the TRUE EYE church.
Another notable area is the Crossroads, which is a city right in the middle of the four regions and that provides a 4-way passage between all 4 regions.
Each region has at least one faction ruling over it (ex. Blackrock is ruled by the Korblox Administration faction) but some have multiple (ex. Lost Temple has the Church of the TRUE EYE and the Redcliff Wranglers).
Inphernals (I would recommend reading the wiki page for it because i intentionally left out a lot of info for easier reading in this post)
Most of the Phighting characters that you see are Inphernals, which are a fictional species special to Phighting.
Inphernals have achromatic skin colors (that is, white, grey, and black) and horns that can be any color. They also always spawn with their own gear, usually originating from the ROBLOX catalogue though the existence of Inphernals with non-ROBLOX gears in Phighting has been confirmed.
Inphernals do not reproduce like other organic beings. Instead, they are "spawned" through Spawn Points. Each region has one Spawn Point, as well as the Heights, making a total of 5 Spawn Points in the Inpherno.
Most Inphernals spawn randomly, though two Inphernals can also force a spawn to happen by sacrificing some of their power to a Spawn Point.
Inphernals are all genderless and do not posses reproductive organs. However, due to how gendered other languages are in the real world, each Inphernal have a set of pronouns selected and are referred to as that set in official material for the game. However, all Inphernals use ANY PRONOUNS and you are free to refer to each Inphernal as anything.
Other Notable Things
There are 7 Deities, also referred to as the Swords. They are a group of very powerful inphernals (each deity uses a sword from the SFOTH ROBLOX game made by Shedletsky) that are immortal but can be killed. They all also have wings and bleed ichor instead of normal blood.
The Watchers are a humanoid species separate from the inphernals, created by Ghostwalker, a deity. They were made to observe and record the history of the Inpherno. Ghosdeeri and Doomsekkar, for example, are Watchers. There are a total of 7 watchers, and each one is based off of the Pumpkin Head accessory items on ROBLOX.
The Scorch is a massacre that took place 10 years before the present day, where Firebrand burned a major Lost Temple city, killing many people and destroying much of the city. Firebrand disappeared shortly after the Scorch.
Phighting, in-universe, is a sport that many inphernals engage with (these inphernals are unsurprisingly called Phighters). The tournament that takes place within the game is run by the idol duo, Flipside. The winner of this tournament will be crowned the "king of Crossroads", taking the place of the missing Firebrand. (DISCLAIMER: The actual Phights within the game are not considered canon to the tournament in-universe)
Energy Crystals are a powerful material developed by Medkit and can be used as a power source or to heal. Subspace later developed his own version of the energy crystals.
Medkit's version of the crystals are used by Medkit for healing, and also function as a power source for Scythe's modified gear and the prosthetics of both Scythe and Rocket.
Subspace's version of the crystals are used to power the Biografts. The Korblox Administration has a supply of them that are often stolen by Coil, who uses some of the crystals to make himself stronger and gives the rest away back at his region.
Disproving Common Misconceptions
Vine Staff is not turning into a tree. Her condition is limited to her arm. You can read more about how her wooden arm affects her here.
There are no confirmed wars in Inpherno's history. Playground and Blackrock have not been in a war. Zuka is not a war veteran, though he did serve as a soldier for the Korblox Administration before leaving Blackrock.
Subspace was the one who initiated the fight between him and Medkit, Medkit fought in self defense and was the one who caused Subspace's infection and illness through that fight.
Thats all, I think!
If there are any corrections or extra info you think I need to add, feel free to reply to this post or contact me through DMs! This is supposed to be an introduction as well as a place for resources related to Phighting Lore so I couldn't include everything, sorry!
You are also free to make your own additions in the reblogs.
