My first outfit post from sunny Salou! Dave and I were treated to a weeks holiday with his family as our Christmas present – what a brilliant present! The weeks leading up to our holiday, we were all so excited and did lots of holiday shopping. One of my new purchases were these cute little boot style sandals from Topshop. They are so comfy and I’m heading back to buy them in the tan colour too! This dress is an oldie but a firm favorite and I’m sporting a new red and silver ring Dave treated me to from a Salou store along the sea front and two stacked rings brought way back when… I’m also sporting my bright green wrist band from our hotel – I tried to hide it the best I could.

From time to time I put together an outfit that just ooze's a classic vibe - to me this combination of monochrome trousers felt effortlessly cool and classic. When browsing the HOF site I spotted these gingham jeans and knew instantly how I'd style them, in fact I could think of a number of ways and thought, these are a must have! For their first outing I opted for all black. Teaming a simple t-shirt with my long line duster coat, my current favorite shoes and of course my beloved fedora and Tres Chic clutch bag. In typical British weather our August has been pretty damp, with plenty of rainy spells, this has lead to wearing tights on more than one occasion - which sucks at this time of year! I've finally got used to ditching tights and going bare legged and the weather doesn't cooperate - typical!! This dress however is the perfect transitional piece, its light and bold print lends itself to the summer but the dark base to the print and its longer sleeve works well in Autumn, win win in my book! Also all the fall fashion popping up on the high street has me in a craze - autumn is by far my favorite season, the colours, textures and prints make me giddy! My ever growing love for years gone by has drawn me deep into the 1970's. Lately I'm getting inspiration from 1970's fashion and luckily for me the shops are full to the brim with 70's inspired clothing. I still love this kimono and hat combination and to mix up how I wear it I've teamed it with this denim skirt is from Oasis. This skirt screams that 70's vibe I'm feeling - I've also picked up a super cute 70's style t-shirt this weekend that will go perfectly with this skirt, I can't wait to wear it! I'm also sporting this bold turquoise ring from HOF, I love colour and fine textures within in it - plus it works perfectly with the the colours within the kimono.
