Did another fast thing last night on a new pad. I like it. It’s got a smooth surface but the watercolour clings to it very well. It doesn’t really work with pencils, though.

As I said before, the Top 10 of 2019 only matched partially with my personal favourites of the past year. So here are my favourite ones. I like these because I struggled to draw/paint them, but they turned out looking well in the end. I cursed a lot about architecture, car interiors and problems with different papers in 2019. I also discovered a few new techniques that worked a lot better than expected.

Is it just me, though, or does it not actually suit either of them better? I dimly recall some meta on hair parting, maybe when i was still a lurker? I do remember that the new john hairstyle was much discussed in promo season. Some liked it better, others not as much. But isn’t there something about how people are perceived based on which side they part their hair?
