tw: parental death, tw: cancer, tw: breast cancerĀ
On August 22nd back in 1989, Violet Alexandra Chen was brought into this World. To James āJimā and Monica Chen, they welcomed their first baby girl. To them she was beautiful. To them she was the light of their life. Jim was a vice president at a bank while Monica decided to be a stay at home mom. The first two years of Violets life was a blur. Though Jim and Monica were happy and in love with their daughter. They resided in a small town called Eureka, in California and thought it was a perfect place to raise their growing family. Thatās exactly what they did. By the time Violet was two, they announced that she was going to become a big sister. Grace Elizabeth Chen was born nine months later and Violet was in awe. The moment Monica placed Grace in Violets arms that was it. That was the moment that Violet decided she was going to be the best big sister. That she was going to protect her with everything that she had. The two were thick as thieves and since Monica stayed home with them while Jim worked, the two formed a close bond with their mother. Of course they loved their father but their mother was their best friend and Violet wouldnāt of wanted it any other way. The three were together twenty-four/seven and Violet loved it.
Growing up, Violetās childhood was nothing but beautiful memories. The tiny town of Eureka that she called home was special to her. Itās where she excelled in her academics, itās where by the time Violet was in middle school she was at the top of her class, taking AP courses and she was Junior Class President. In her free time however, Violet was on the dance team. Mostly ballet and she was good at it. Winning competitions on the weekends. Thought getting into high school that all stopped. In high school Violet found a love for fashion and photography. It wasnāt until her freshman year that she joined the photography club and Yearbook comity where she learned how to pose people for pictures. It sparked so much of an interest for her that Violet asked her mother what she would think of her trying to model. Of course Monica was always supportive for whatever her children did, and Violet in the long run appreciated it. So Monica made some calls. She started modeling. Violet started to model and she loved it, she was great at it. A photographer once called her a natural at sixteen.
The modeling career took off, and she started out with small fashion shows all around California. It was great that Violet was getting out there but Monica made Violet promise she wouldnāt forget about school. So she didnāt, and Violet decided to take a brake towards the end of the her sophomore year. She focused on her studies and continued to do well. During her junior year Violet got accepted into her dream school, FIT in the city that never sleeps. It was amazing news and her parents couldnāt of been more proud. Come senior year of high school, she graduated with honors and was the Valedictorian at her graduation. By the time summer finished and fall rolled around, Violet packed her things and was ready to start her life at FIT. Violet had kept a promise to her parents and sister that sheād keep in touch every day and thatās exactly what she did. Her college years were spent sticking to her studies and taking everything in, living in the moment. Having a major in fashion merchandising and a minor in interior design. She loved college and New York City so much that she convinced her sister Grace to apply to colleges in the same state.
It was her senior year of college when Violet was walking on the streets with her friends when she was spotted by an agent. She had an agent for modeling from when she was younger but went separate ways. This agent however has the golden ticket. This agent lead Violet into modeling for Victoriaās Secret. After graduating from college, Violet decided to take this modeling thing seriously. Working hard and being apart of Victoriaās Secret company for a while, she gained her wings. She walked every show and her family would be sitting in the crowd, proud and in awe.
Though as time went on, she had become successful. She had become successful, and she had fallen in love. Fallen in love with her life in the city, and having Grace her little sister, her best friend experience it with her was always her favorite part. She had fallen in love with Adam Wiseman. The two dated for a while and eventually got married. Married life was great. It was great until their third anniversary that they got into a fight. A fight that tore up their marriage. He wanted kids, she didnāt and so the two divorced. By the time the divorce was finalized, news was told by her father that her mother was sick.
Sick with breast cancer and that she needed to come home. Thatās exactly what she did. Violet dropped everything and flew back home to Eureka. Unfortunately, Violets mother passed away. Without hesitation, Violet decided to move out of New York City and back to Eureka to be with her father and little sister, Grace. Taking a step back from the lifestyle she had in New York, Violet moved downtown and has been living here in Eureka for four months and loving every minute of it. She has taken on event planning and retired her wings.
