Something that I will praise the FNAF Movie franchise for are the personalities given to Henry and Afton. These images sum it up well: Serial killer = quirky businessman, side protagonist = serious social awkward inventor. Too often are the two swapped through fanon perception. William's success wasn't luck - the authorities didn't question him that much because this dude has serious whimsy dancing in a fursuit even off-the-clock, with every correct answer to the prompted investigation questions (Vannessa likely told him about). Contrast that with Emily over here. Who would rather focus on his creations than entertain children with his physical presence. Leaving cryptic messages on the restaurant's walls.

Henry Emily is not a people person or a great therapist for the kids. He fumbles, and his facial expressions stay stagnant (he do give autistic vibes). William Afton is not an easily angered man who can't lie to save his life. He lies scaringly well. Accustomed to abusing his kids when no one is looking, and on such a passive aggressive level that it's confused for parental love. Micheal Afton might get slapped in his bedroom, then suddenly father is kneeling beside him with a tissue for his bloody nose. Stuff like that.

Don't fall for stereotypes. It's far more interesting and realistic with characters like these.
