I feel like these are all the same guy and exactly my type
The starving saints.
Before I say anything, I loved it, but I was unfamiliar with it's author, and soon realised it wasn't going to be what I imagined.
I pictured horrible Catholic drama, twisted visions, the unresting devotion of a population damned by famine. Im no writer, but I do believe that the trope could have been exploited better.
Im catholic, well, Im not anymore, but was born and raised as one, in the beautiful and gold-plated arches of Italy's churches. I get religious disperation, while kneeling on the uncomfortable wooden benches, staring up at tortured saints getting their flesh torn apart.
I signed up for that feeling, starving not only for food, but for salvation, for the touch of those silent images finally coming to life and acknowledging the excruciating condition of human life.
I loved the starving saints, but it didnt give me that concept, instead It gave me pychosexual lesbianism which I ALSO LOVE.
This book is a 7/10 for me, but could have been a 10/10 with a little more research, the cult felt shallow, the medieval was barely there and trust me, the middle ages were filled with dramatic and theatrical rituals that could have been perfect for this setting. I enjoyed the scene where the statue is carried in procession, and all the followers were given just a little honey, not enough to satiate them, but enough to get their empty stomachs rumbling. Still, that is I believe the only scene in which we really get a indepth description of the religion in the castle.
I was let down by the religious, but at least I got a sad pathetic butch knight
My tiefling and the elf baddie he pulled by being stupid and pathetic <3
We drank his blood and shared his flesh, our god of resurrection will cure our eyes to brace sunlight
No hate to heated rivalry, Im enjoying it, but as a IWTV fan who is watching it bc my friend said "I will watch your gay vampires if you watch my gay hockey players" Im heartbroken to say that im not satisfied with this realistic drama and want them to drink each other's blood
this is hugs from grubs, a drawing i've been thinking about for a year and likely wont finish. i wanted to share it before i end up hating it
If you see the quote "I refuse to share my body with a man who wouldn't defend it politically" or any variation of it floating around the internet — it was Kat Blaque who originally said it and she would really appreciate it if people gave her proper credit for it but it's gone viral on a lot of different platforms and most of the people sharing it don't know it's from her or choose not to credit her on purpose.
Like I just know terfs are going to be parroting it pretending it wasn't said by a black trans woman about herself & her life.
a good pet
your threats and your promises, they don't scare me

Sharing the flesh means sharing the power, so consume each other and become equals, that's why Christ insisted on letting his followers know the taste of his body
