“Excuse me….?” Anneliese asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

“Oh,” Anneleise watched him for a moment. Her hand rubbed the back of her neck. “I guess that makes sense. I mean, it saves the family the trouble. It was hard for me when I had to kill my grandmother and fiance…”

“Yeah, I hate seeing them out alone. There’s a family out there looking for them.”

“So you take care of them before their family has to. That’s....nice enough I suppose..”

“Oh, I hear his whole family ended up leaving,” she let out a sigh as she shook her head. “I feel bad for him, the poor guy. He was lucky enough to have his family but that’s being taken away….”

“Everyone’s lost someone. Me, you, this whole group. I <i>saw<\i> my whole squad get eaten before my goddamn eyes.” He turned away from her, anger in his eyes. “I couldn’t fucking do anything. I can still hear their screams at night, I can still feel their cold stare, begging me to help them as they were eaten fucking alive. We all lost someone. Some people just lost more than others.”

Anneliese bent her head as he talked. She always felt bad, knowing that she had lost less than anyone else here. “I know, I shouldn’t have said anything. I don’t have a right to say anything.” She said reaching up to tuck her hair behind her ear.

“My name is Elise.  Elise Vogel.”  Elise couldn’t help but give a faint little chuckle upon realizing their names sounded quite familiar.  “It’s nice to meet you.  Vash had brought me here, though I haven’t seen him for a while..”

“It’s nice to meet you, Elise.” She said with a small smile and tilted her head to the side. “Is Vash a friend or a family member...?” She asked.

“Well, I usually see at least one walker, so I give ‘em mercy. Uh, I kill them out of mercy.. They have–well, had– families, and I don’t like to think their body isn’t gonna rest after death. So, I give ‘em mercy. Plus, I’m pretty fuckin’ pissed at what those assholes did to the kids. I was supposed to protect them, and those dead fuckers ate 'em all.”

“I’m Allen Jones. I’m one of the hunters here, even though I’m a vegetarian.”

She rose an eyebrow. “Interesting choice of a job then. Why did you choose that?”

“Eh, I don’t really know. One moment, he’s all excited. The next, he’s just really calm. It’s weird.”

“Oh, I don’t think that’s werd.” Sh shrugged her shoulders. “Who is your roommate anyways?”

“What I’m sayin’, Miss, is that you are awfully beautiful.”

“Um, thank you...? And you are?”

She gave him a small smile, her head tilting to the side. “Oh, it’s quite alright. Hm? I’ll have some green tea, please.” She told him as her hands folded in front of her.

“Alright, let’s get going. My cabin’s over there. I don’t think my roommate is in there, he’s been with this weird Italian fellow.”

“Weird Italian fellow?” She lined once as she followed him. “Why is he so weird?”

‘Er, I’m sorry, I haven’t been around beautiful woman in years, haha,” He stated in a flirtatious voice. “ Green tea, or Earl Gray, my lady?”

She gave him a small smile, her head tilting to the side. “Oh, it’s quite alright. Hm? I’ll have some green tea, please.” She told him as her hands folded in front of her.

“Company?” Her face turned bright red and she glanced away. “I hope you mean for tea..”

“Er, yes. I wouldn’t think of doing such vulgar things with a woman.” He paused until he realized what he had said. “I mean, I would, just not with someone I just met!”

Her face remained red a bit. “A-alright, I trust you. I mean, yeah,” she said as she looked away and rubbed the back of her neck.

“This place sure is big and scary…”

“Honestly, it’s not that bad once you get used to it.”

“Hm?”  Elise turns around to look at the lady talking to her.  “Not bad?  Alright.  You look like a nice lady, so I trust you.  Is everyone here nice?”

She looked at the young woman, her smile growing a bit. “I’ve been here for a while and  haven’t had too much trouble with anyone. My name is Anneliese, what’s your name?”

The woman chuckled and nodded her head. “I’m surprised someone has some tea, but would you mind if I borrowed some?”

“ No, I don’t mind. But you have give something in return.” He smiled at her. “It would be nice if I had some company.”

“Company?” Her face turned bright red and she glanced away. “I hope you mean for tea..”

“Honestly, it’s not that bad once you get used to it.”

“Yeah. I have some green tea leaves. I also have some more earl grey tea bags with me. A gentleman never forgets his tea.”

The woman chuckled and nodded her head. “I’m surprised someone has some tea, but would you mind if I borrowed some?”

[Comes up behind her] “Did you say tea leaves? I already have some, if you would like to come over for tea.”

[She blinked and turned around] “I did, since I tend to the garden here it was just something I was thinking about adding. You have tea leaves? I haven’t had tea in a long time.”
