Let’s talk a hot fuckin’ second about this disrespect towards Big Bang and PSY. I have a lot to say.
Heads up, I mostly stan SM groups.
I’m fucking disgusted. This is the rudest shit and half you people defending this are probably SM or JYP biased and bitter about the fact that YG groups have lots of popularity and respect from the general public despite some of their more problematic behavior. I’m not making this post to somehow defend Big Bang’s honor or something. Ask me about Big Bang I really only give a fuck about TOP and tbh I don’t think they deserved to be nominated for some of the shit they were but this is beside the point.
The problem is that those artists didn’t have a single fucking excuse to not be there until the end other than TTS and EXO (I would include SHINee and Seventeen but I don’t know their schedules close enough to know when their concerts start). TTS because they have a comeback tomorrow night and EXO because they were actually backstage for an interview with Mnet.
Red Velvet should have been there. F(x) should have been there. Got7 and Twice and JYP should have been there. Seventeen and BTS and SHINee should have been there. Zion.T should have been there. San E should have been there. iKON definitely should have fucking been there. None of the other artists have a goddamn excuse for not staying 10 extra minutes for Big Bang’s speech and PSY’s final performance.
Don’t give me your whiny bullshit that Taeyang was being disrespectful when he said it was sad they didn’t have more artists/peers to celebrate their win with. When Big Bang is so respectful of all the other groups. When GD, Mr. Problematic himself, bows at 90 fucking degrees TO ROOKIE GROUPS. When Big Bang is constantly complimenting other groups, including their rivals like SHINee and EXO. When Big Bang sat for 5 hours just like the rest to watch everyone else perform and win their awards.
And schedules my ass. 10 fucking minutes, really? 10 minutes was gonna get you behind schedule when you were just gonna go to bed? What are you gonna do at fucking midnight after an awards show? These companies have a heads up from Mnet at least a month in advance, you’re going to tell me you cut your schedule that fucking close on the BIGGEST AWARDS SHOW OF THE YEAR? Schedule my fucking ass.
And you know what’s even more fucked up about it? Groups like BTS admire Big Bang, were inspired by Big Bang and they couldn’t even fucking stay 10 minutes to respect their sunbaes/elders. That’s shitty as hell. That’s disrespectful.
I don’t give a shit if you think it’s a YG fest. I really don’t. That is just unprofessional as hell to do something like that.
Oh, and if EXO were the final performers and everyone left, you fucking damn well know you guys would be having a shitfest over it. #YourBiasIsShowing
God bless Monsta X who didn’t even win a damn thing tonight and performed within the first hour or so and stayed the whole fucking time. Serious respect.
