A STUDY ON : metamorphosis | immortality | revival | immunity to fear | consequences for rebelling against the gods | transformation | mind vs body | the unknowable | carefully laid plans | arrogance in the face of death
one . #πππππππππππ is a single-muse, independant, selective and mutuals only roleplay blog. I will only write with those 18 and over. i LOVE plotting and will happily welcome anything into my inbox - don't feel hesitant to drop in and ask for a plot/send in a starter meme or anything similar - I promise I don't bite!
two . some info surrounding me : hey! my name is ryxon, i'm 21+, queer, and go by they/them exclusively. i tend to be rather busy, as i work fulltime. i am very interested in poetry and character analysis, and use them as references when it comes to my writing, as it is a significant part of her character. my alex is heavily headcanon based and partly canon divergent, i recommend reading the carrd BIO page due to the way i interpret her character. Discord is available for mutuals on request.
three. i do not tolerate AI of any kind, and I will not hesitate to block if I find similar media or content on your page. Please do not send AI generated media or content to this blog. Do not use this blog to train AI .
four . i do not write sexually explicit threads. i am okay with suggestive content. that being said , this blog contains several canon-typical themes, including heavy violence, body horror, suicide and suicidal ideation, medical experimentation, and death. these will be tagged accordingly. follow at your own discretion.
DISCLAIMER that i do not share the views of my muse, and that since Alex is an antagonist, she will react accordingly to any way a muse chooses to act towards her. Aggression will be responded in kind, as with other attitudes / actions.
five . this goes without saying but do not interact if you are any of the phobes or ists. i do not support any ai-generated media alongside this , and i will not interact with those that do. I am very liberal with the block button and anything of the above will warrant it. anon will be taken away if you are rude. do not godmod.
six . my headcanons and analysis are exclusive to my interpretation of alex wesker, and my portrayal relies very heavily on those. they are crafted specifically for my portrayal.
seven . I myself write literate - novella , but I tend to match the length of my partners. i do not expect essays , i myself am very much focused on quality over quantity , and aim to build a well-made story first and foremost. my responses can be slow at times, and i ask reminders are only sent after 2-3 weeks without a response.
eight . i am more than happy to accomodate if you require a different format of writing , or something similar . just message me and i will do my best .
nine . this blog is multimuse && oc friendly, i am more than happy to write with either. i am also open to writing in any setting, or aus, but my main universe is typically the resident evil canon game universe as it is at the moment.
ten . if you reblog a meme or a prompt from me , please send one in return. otherwise , please reblog them from the source.
eleven . i will not write alex x albert wesker. my alex is asexual and demibiromantic. please message and ask if you would like to write any sort of ship with me . ships will only be written with mutuals . i ship chemistry , and do not do forced ships . ships with alex are likely not going to be healthy and that should be taken into account before plotting one . she is a narcissist and has a god complex and doesn't care about how her actions affect others . she will not consider it an equal dynamic and it will take a LOT for her to even be vaguely interested in someone. I am not very interested in shipping her but exceptions may be made.
Wanting to make a return to this blog when I get some time on my hands. In the meantime, I'll have a couple meta series coming out soon, some analysis of Kafka works within Alex's lens and also an indepth study of the paintings in her place.
Send a π¬ to hear how my muse feels about yours.
ARC62441 - Alex Wesker
I remember meeting her long before I would know who she was, or who I was. Rivalry was always encouraged between peers in Umbrella, as Spencer believed it to foster healthy competition. At least, that was what he had claimed. In truth, keeping us from forming more personal and lasting relationships was beneficial to him, as comraderies forged between likeminded individuals were a dangerous, volatile, thing. Such was the conclusion my old mentor, James Marcus, had once come to, as well. Spencer had doubtless adopted his philosophy, after he had Birkin and I assassinate Marcus.
Alex was driven and intelligent. She was an erudite whose company I found quite enjoyable. She worked under an alias then, concealing her true name, from me, and from others. Perhaps, I should resent her for her deception, but once my rage had subsided, I felt no resentment towards her. Perhaps, a foolish sentimentality on my part, but coming to know her better through Terrasave's data on her, had given me a strange sense of melancholy.
She was driven by her fears; of failure, of isolation, and of her own non-existence. It is said that paradoxically, people of high intelligence suffer from thanatophobia at a disproportionate rate. Perhaps, the idea of nothingness, the lack of comfort of man-made scenarios of what lies after, and the intimate knowledge of how our bodies can and will fail us, exacerbates these fears beyond what is considered 'normal'.
Death remains the only truly untamed part of our existence. Transcending it would redefine our very species in every conceivable way. It is a sentiment I have entertained and coveted, as countless had before me, but Alex's attempts at halting her demise are truly extraordinary, and in time, may bring us victory where no other has succeeded before.
It was strange to read words of affection that had been meant for him. Strange for someone to speak of not wishing to abandon him, wondering how he had felt, and what he had wanted. Such words were almost embarrassing to read, in a way. They made him feel akin to a child that someone was fussing over beyond measure. But, it had been flattering to read her words, too, difficult as it was for him to admit.
Her fears were familiar to him. Many of them were his own. Her fear of dependence, of helplessness, of weakness... He had felt them his entire life, even long before his own body started to deteriorate and before his strength betrayed him. The thought of losing himself and all he had grown to be, was a fear that had wormed its way into his heart, ever-since he sensed the changes in his body, with the virus changing and mutating with him.
Alex had abandoned Spencer not long before Albert had come to end his miserable existence. But why? He never did learn the truth. He could scarcely fault her if she was merely sick of him, but within their 'family' there always seemed to be something deeper and darker, at play.
It had been some time since he had come to suspect his role in Spencer's plan, since discovering the truth of his creation. Alex's own research tied into his suspicions rather neatly, and formed a grim picture. Spencer's decaying body could not be saved. He required a new vessel. And Albert had come to a conclusion that he was an option on that menu, if not the main course.
He didn't know if his sister did not wish to turn him over to their 'father', or if her own deteriorating condition had forced her to risk it and break her chains. But, he owed her a debt of gratitude regardless, as her work had remained incomplete in Spencer's hands.
He had gone through the pains of acquiring some of her writing in their original physical form, preserving them for safekeeping. There was no reason for it other than his own sentimentality, but he felt content to have something of hers.
He had a feeling they would meet again, and he was looking forward to speaking more candidly, and as themselves, when they did.
quite frankly, she doesn't care much for him outside of being the one to publish kafka's works. max published a lot of works of his own, both musical composition and literary β he won several awards for them as based on the wikipedia page, but is mostly remembered as kafka's friend and not for his own publications. alex is not someone for sentimentality or focusing on the extent of people's qualifications far more than their practical use, and this plays a large role. use is something she focuses a lot on and she considers that max fulfilled his only important purpose in publishing greater works than anything he himself worked on, and falling into obscurity is his own fault. he couldn't cement himself properly into collective knowledge like kafka did, and so through that wish to remain buried alex chooses not to give him the grace of being named in her discussions.
Very few of Kafka's numerous works were published while he lived, and upon his death he left them to a friend with the instructions to burn them, unread. Fortunately that friend saw the value of Kafka's legacy and preserved them for the future, ignoring Kafka's final request. Even today, Kafka's works continue to enchant us with their vivid depictions of fear. β ALEX'S THOUGHTS ON FRANZ KAFKA, RESIDENT EVIL REVELATIONS 2.
a lot of this also comes to the impact kafka's works had on her as opposed to max. his went by with next to no recognition from herself whereas kafka became something she built many of her philosophical foundations on and her knowledge of both figures also resulted from her upbringing in the wesker project. spencer supplied her with a lot of kafka's literature and she continued to seek it out, whereas reading through brod's publications was on a whim when she was much older. brod was a very successful writer with 83 publications, but once again, he was not known for those literary pieces and was known for publishing kafka's, with his reputation being the latter's advocate and confidant.
all in all, she does not care for him or his works, but respects his foresight in publishing kafka's works for the public.
I don't care much for requiem or some of the new lore + cures they've brought in to the franchise but I do think if alex somehow gained access to elpis she would try to reverse-engineer it / find out what makes it tick a la her experimentation with uroboros to see what she can gain from it. I can most likely see her trying to figure out a way where it can be used against other mass-market viruses while still allowing her own progenitor-based material ( i.e phobos and anything else she comes up with ) to remain at full potential + essentially narrow down the market to an insane degree.
she is very willing to play the game of being the sole trader and benefactor of backseating many bioterrorist organizations in return for useful material, personnel, loyalty and other such resources as well as screwing over the competition. this in theory would grant her a lot of ability to test new engineered viral and bacterial strains in her bid to try the events of sein again because unfortunately all of the weskers don't know when to quit ( they don't know the meaning of the word ).
either that or actually trying to engineer it to do what it was rumored to do / combining it with something stupid bad and in general just being evil and annoying. someone take her lab equipment away I'm begging.
alex most likely had some knowledge of grace's existence seeing as she was extremely close to spencer, but doesn't particularly have much interest in connecting with her outside of masking a reunion to procure some samples since spencer made such a big deal about her ( unless she thinks she can manipulate grace into being useful ). she isn't really the type to go hunting for "lost family" or the like just for the sake of it but she does want to know what's so different about her that has spencer essentially creating a backdoor into deleting all their previous work + how she can work with it.
what's alex up to post her revival/canon? with the multimillion cult island blown to pieces and only a handful of loyal individuals left, alex has been quietly regaining resources and study in the background while people still believe she's gone for good. with the extremely sizable amount of money ( assets totalling more than $600 million and counting from investments and various fraud against umbrella and spencer himself in an offshore account gathering interest ) she's one of the various figures pulling the strings behind the Connections. it's a good way to get things started once more, and there's many opportunities to utilize their newfound reputation and resources as they begin to make a name for themselves.
alex was the original designer of the queen a.i systems.
they were her original conception of crafted consciousness, and led to her creating the breakthrough that was transferring her own consciousness to natalia in revelations.
those aforementioned systems were built during her time as umbrella's head of security, and during the brief timeframe that she was actually loyal to spencer and the organization as a way to ensure their assets and various information archives were kept safe while being able to target others.
now, onto the actual a.is β red queen was the first concept, and was built to protect umbrella assets and staff, while also being engineered to control tyrants and other b.o.w.s to an extent. she coded her own backdoor into this program as a failsafe, in case she was ever locked out and partially as she was beginning to doubt spencer. she intended on recovering this after the downfall of umbrella, but was unable to after albert wesker destroyed it during chronicles.
she rebuilt a copy of red queen several years later β red queen alpha, which was set to monitor simulations, infection stages, vital systems and other important intelligence while managing the release of b.o.w.s on sein island to fight the candidates that were put through the various gauntlets. this was functioning up until all of her facilities were destroyed.
white queen was also built during her time in umbrella, but for a vastly different purpose. while red queen was largely defensive and acted as insurance for assets and staff, white queen was engineered to be a far more offensive system that targeted enemy software by infecting them through ports such as usb connections, transfer information stores and act as a kind of malware at the same time, for the purpose of stealing and scanning the developing internet.
it mainly served as a digital archive for umbrella intelligence, that was near impossible to break into with brute force, and was alex's first proper attempt at manufacturing consciousness through technology. she achieved it to an extent, with some degree of spontaneity and controlled sentience. the fate of the white queen is largely unknown.
the REAL reason why albert had to partner with excella was because alex stole the entire fucking inheritance. not only did she steal all umbrella funds, she was also spencer's favorite, the most likely recipient of his funds ( this doesn't matter because she fucking hacked in and wired all of it to an offshore account to pay for her fucking cult island ). she just. took the entire damn thing. left him PENNIES.

i've spoken about this before but for all that alex claims that she's immune to fear, it's still something that's so intrinsically part of her. she's terrified of being insignificant or losing her grip on the power and control she constantly strives to keep, she's terrified of her work amounting to nothing, and most of all, she's terrified of death. she is. she doesn't think she is and convinces herself of it but she instinctually and subconsciously is ( again stemming from her terminal illness. ) she tries to circumvent her own death and half fails ( even if in my canon she manages to revert back to her human form a few years post revelations 2 ). she cannot conquer her own fear and that's where claire succeeded and she absolutely resents it.
It must be quite shocking to see him again, with this face, of all faces. But despite what Alex could possibly think, this was his own body, reproduced to tie up any loose ends, to be 'activated' only upon Elpis' release. Things would be much different this time...after all, unlike before he was not an old man, waiting to die. He was no BOW, but there were a great many things he needed to look into before being killed yet again.
"Did you have your fun, my dear? Did you get it all out of your system? Or have you finally gone mad, after figuring out that you would be trapped in that body forever? Of it dying all around you?"
there was nothing in the world quite so infuriating as seeing one oswell spencer somehow returned to life. the old fool's dreams of grandeur and godhood had been cut short, his heart ripped from his chest cavity and laid bare on the floor, life-sustaining blood pouring everywhere as his feeble mind couldn't even begin to make sense of the fact that he was in fact, dead and gone by the second. she'd always been in his good graces β a ploy β but alex truly cared more for the books in her library than this ghost of a man.
he knew nothing of the world, upheld beliefs that served nothing, and charged her with extending him the olive branch of immortality. she refused, obviously, instead systematically destroying everything he held dear while maintaining the pretense of the good and faithful daughter, with millions of dollars flowing into an offshore account before finally leaving him stranded in the dust. nothing more followed, until the news came of his poor and untimely death. she'd opened a bottle of champagne in response.
β the only mad one is you. β it's that cold poison of calm, she has no use for oswell any longer. he is no longer the leader of the world's greatest pharmaceutical chain, he is penniless, powerless, and alone. β an old man placing a burden of godhood upon his sons and daughters, expecting loyalty where none was needed. we had no obligation to follow the orders of a decripit fool, and i have no intention of paying heed to the empty threats of one. your time is over. β
