Your film is inspiring and incredible!!! I really wanna know more about the whole process.....when you hired the composer, he scored the film with the song or was the song made before you animated it? and did you have a part in deciding on the lyrics/style of the song? it's just so fitting and perfect!

Thank you so much! These are great questions bc I was definitely hesitant on doing this project since I haven’t worked with a composer so closely. But essentially I gave Connor music reference and told him ‘I just wanted to animate to good music’ and let him take it from there. He’d give me rough demos, I’d make concept art and make an animatic from it. We’d give each other feedback on what we could add to the music or how the music would effect the story. For lyrics, connor asked me what the film’s theme was and wrote lyrics from that and we’d brainstorm together on areas he was stuck on lyric or if the lyrics werent working all together. The process was putting a lot of trust in Connor and me scrambling to figure out a story while the music was being composed jcjx
