btw that last reblog reminded me that when I got up to the part where they go back to buckkeep in the fitz and the fool trilogy I really couldn't deal with how much fitz loves buckkeep and will always consider it his real home (molly apologists found dead) even though he never expects to be able to be there as his true self again.... and then they reveal in front of the entire court that fitz is still alive and legitimize/acknowledge him as prince fitzchivalry farseer and starling comes out and finally performs the song about all of his heroic deeds and saving the kingdom...... !!!!!!! I did very much cry real tears at the panera bread over it. I really cannot emphasize enough the catharsis of that after 15 books (or 14 I forget which one it happens in I read them in really quick succession okay). the entire rest of the series every time I read prince fitzchivalry farseer I was overcome with emotion. all the ways the end of the series reassures us fitz will be remembered as a hero forever, like through the dragons........ the elderlings........ hap!! if you got to the end of the farseer trilogy and were like fuck this this is too sad KEEP GOING well it continues to get sadder but also so satisfying it's unreal
