The Luxray line is currently a very trendy set of Pokémon to own. This is because of their electric typing, which is potentially eco-conscious if used by the trainer, and their elegant looks.

Sandshrew and Sandslash dig out burrows in the summer, ekans hibernate in them come winter. In spring the area is churned up by territory redifining battles and the cycle starts anew

A herd of Mareep and flaafy always have at least one Ampharos to act as a Shepard. They follow the light of its tail to rejoin the group if they get lost

Dunsparce has historically been used by farmers to dig wells, irrigation, and drainage ditches. Due to their longevity, many families have kept the same dunsparce for generations!

The scythes of a scyther never stop growing- they mark their turf by filing them down on rocks and trees.

Oddish is considered the gardener’s best friend because it’s believed that the scent of an oddish will keep big types away from your garden. This is actually a half truth- each oddish has its own unique smell, some of which bug types find very attractive! If you’re going to let your oddish live outside or in a greenhouse, it’s important to make sure you’ve tested its scent before taking it home!

Grass Pokémon are often monitored as a means to gauge the health of their environment.

Umbreon and Espeon are prone to being aloof with strangers, preferring the company of their trainers. It is very hard to rehome them because of how strong their bonds with their chosen person are.

Paras can be kept and harvested for their mushrooms, as all it does is prevent them from evolving. The fungi is used for many different herbal remedies and traditional medicines

Dratini can adapt to almost any water environment- but it loses that ability when it evolves into dragonite, then only able to live in salt water. Nobody is quite sure why, and studies are currently being done on specimens that live in the artic.

Historically, Growlithe and Arcanine have been the go-to quadruped pokemon for police work- though recently Houndoom has been gaining in popularity.

This is because of its sleek, agile build and smaller size which allows it to be more effective in on-foot chase. Arcanine in the Johto region are still employed for load carrying and SWAT calls, but local Officer Jennys have pretty much washed their larger counterparts.
