I keep reading something about a leaked video of T & S in japan? people keep referring to it as "the kobe video" any idea where I can find it? and what's the context of it lol

There has been a video of them taking a walk together in Japan which has been leaked to the fandom. For a short time it was up on youtube but was then deleted again and is not available to watch anymore.

“Scotland” in the fandom refers to the Gold Medal Plates trip that Tessa and Scott participated in in the summer of 2015.

It’s a trip for charity that regular people can book and spend time with famous people, basically. Scott’s then girlfriend Kaitlyn Lawes was also with them on this trip. (On the right, but I guess that goes without saying.)

On this trip, they went hiking and swimming in the sea and gave a speech (and Scott wore a kilt! ..not in this picture, though):

The most discussed event on this trip however is the story of Tessa and Scott watching Miku Graham sing “What’s Love (Got To Do With It)” in a pub, at which point as by their own retelling, they locked eyes across the bar and thought they just had to skate to that song.

This here is how Tessa tells the story, starts at roughly 1:30 but the whole clip is nice, so worth a full watch:

It was about a month and a bit after that that Kaitlyn seemed be be out of the picture and the Tessa-and-Scott sightings amped up. Early in the next year they announced their return to competitive skating.

Now, since no one here was there it is unclear if Scotland has any more meaning than a trip together, but there are all sorts of theories out there.

As it is, those are the known facts regarding Scotland, hope this helps, nonnie :)

Do you know anything about Tessa’s high school days? She went to school in Windsor while training in Canton... how did that work?

I am paraphrasing from the book here: When they started training in Canton, Tessa skipped a grade so that she could have roughly the same time table table as Scott and get more training in. The first eight months (before her mother moved down to be with her) Scott used to drive her everywhere because he had a car.

And now I am fuzzy in memory but I think that eventually her and Scott or at least Scott switched to online classes because the sport took off too much for them.

Tessa says in the book that it took a long time to get comfortable in High School in Canton because she was shy and so much younger than all the others but that she’d always liked learning and studying so in the end it was alright.

Did VM choreograph more songs together than LTR and Mystic? Do they have a say in the choreographies? Because there was a post on twitter that said the Latch choreography was their love story but they did not choreograph that themselves?

They definitely have input and artistic license to play with the choreographer and adapt things. Latch was MF’s choreo and they haven’t explicitly said it was their story but the few things they have shared about that number (they were quite private about what it meant to them) have made fans speculate that it was.

Like I know a certain someone *cough Moir cough* who likes to choreograph sneaky spots to kiss someone while they skate

Is Scott colorblind? He’s mentioned in interviews a couple of times that he doesn’t see colors well or that he’s a bit colorblind. Does that mean he’s doesn’t actually know that Tessa’s eyes are “gorgeous green”???

I don’t think he is? It certainly isn’t the first time he’s mentioned her gorgeous green eyes though. Exhibit A:

I've got a question! Who sits on the judging panel(s)? Does every international competition have the same group of judges? At an event like Canada Nationals, are all the judges Canadians?

Generally to become a judge you need to pass a lot of ISU seminars and courses and get accredited to judge on a certain level internationally (and can move up the ranks gradually). Federations get spots on panels if they have skaters competing at a certain level and the federation gets to decide whom to send of the accredited judges. I think most judges at Nationals will be from the home country, and the federation decides if they even need ISU accreditations.

SOme of the old fans in fandom say things are very different now than they were after Sochi but other old ones say it's all the same, I am confused. It looks like they are different but maybe not?

We think it’s different, but this is really a subjective thing and everyone has to draw their own conclusions. If you can look at old content versus new content and conclude that something is different, then that’s your decision to make. None of us know anything, we’re only surmising from what we can see, and some of us believe that things have changed. Others don’t. It’s up to you.
