Matthew Woodson
A friend recommended I look at the work of illustrator Matthew Woodson. I think it's the best think I've done in ages. It's a perfect example of what I've been trying to achieve for a while and with a few tips I'm excited to try some stuff out with textures and photoshop.
Good luck.
Got some much better close ups of this project.

Perfect Disorder - By Airelav
William Miller acquired an old Polaroid SX-70 at a yard sale a few years back. Little did he know, it wasnât in that great of condition.Â
But after seeing the warped pictures it created, he decided to work with the cameraâs imperfections to create a new series of images.

I was looking at celebrities on twitter and how many followers people have and read that Justin Beiber has the largest amount of followers of 37,623,594 (when I first checked, 17/04/2013 I think, that number has now exceeded 38 million..)
I realised I actually have no idea what that kind of number could possibly look like and I've been struggling with imagining how you could represent such a massive amount of people visually.
I intend to try and visualise just how big the "Twittersphere" is.
Statement for Degree Show Catalogue
In a world obsessed with digital and social media, our generation has embraced the opportunities of our âGlobal Village.â However, is our increasing use of social media a digital manipulation of our identity? How will our use of it affect our future? Or the way we are remembered? Are we heading for a new kind of dystopia unpredicted by Orwell and Huxley?
My work investigates the effect of the omnipresent digital world in both its themes and mediums. The simultaneous collaboration and struggle between digital image making and traditional analogue techniques is key to my practice as an illustrator and photographer.
Cropped versions of my Cara calligram. I had to try cropped versions of the image for the degree show catalogue as it would be printed much smaller and may lose some detail at a small size.
