2016 Cultural Pass Challenge
The 2016 Cultural Pass Challenge is back! The Gheens Foundation,the Ford Fund, an anonymous donor, Louisville Metro Government and 30 local art and cultural organizations are thrilled to offer free experiences for our community’s youth.
In the first two years of the pass, over 102,000 passes were distributed to Louisville’s youth. As a result, many of the participating organizations saw an increase in the number of visitors and first-time attendance spiked! In 2015, the Louisville Free Public Library (the primary distribution point) realized a record number of Summer Reading completers.
Passes may be picked up at the Louisville Free Public Library starting May 23, 2016. Passes will be also be available at Metro Parks Community Centers. The passes are valid from June 5 - August 6, 2016. Please join us for our official kick-off event - the Arts and Cultural Attractions Council’s Arts and Cultural Day. This event takes place on June 5, 2016 at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater at the Waterfront from 11 am - 3 pm.
Louisville Forward and the Louisville Free Public Library are launching a new tool called Beanstack for the 2016 Cultural Pass and Summer Reading. Beanstack will engage youths and their parents in summer learning activities. To pre-register for the Cultural Pass please visit www.lfpl.org/culturalpass. Pre-registered passes must be picked up from a library branch to gain access.

Who: All youth with a Louisville Free Public Library Card ages 0-21 will be admitted for free to participating organizations. One adult chaperon will also be admitted if youth is under 16 (only one adult admission will be granted regardless of the number of passes). Only one free adult admission per family.
How: Youth and parents can pick up a pass from local Louisville Free Public Library branches or Metro Parks Community Centers. Pass must be presented upon entrance to gain free admission. The pass will be punched to indicate a visit. Pre-registration for the pass is strongly encouraged. Please visit www.lfpl.org/culturalpass for more details.
What: Pass allows FREE general admission access to youth and chaperon (if child is under 16). Only one visit per pass per institution will be allowed. Special exhibits and programs are not included with the pass. Attendees must observe all venue rules and restrictions.
When: Pass will be valid from June 5-August 6, 2016
The Challenge: If a youth visits 8 sites, they will be entered to win prizes and other incentives (tickets, memberships and more).
1. Participants must have or be eligible for a Louisville Free Public Library Card.
2. Only one adult will receive free entry per visit when they accompany a youth under 16. Only one adult will receive free admission per family regardless of the number of passes.
3. Each youth (ages 0-21) is eligible for one pass.
4. All rules and regulations for specific sites must be followed to gain entry. Please note special restrictions for some participating organizations are printed on the Cultural Pass.
5. The Cultural Pass is valid for one-time general admission at each of the participating institutions. No special exhibits or concessions are included with the Cultural Pass.
6. Organizations reserve the right to deny entry if rules and restrictions of the Cultural Pass are not followed.
7. The Cultural Pass is intended for family use. As such, it is not valid for group visits.
8. The Cultural Pass is not valid with other institution offers.

To be eligible for prizes, a youth must visit at least eight (8) participating organizations, complete the contact information on the reverse side of the pass and return the pass to a Louisville Free Public Library Location or Metro Parks Community Center. Passes must be returned no later than August 12, 2016.
