{Hi, guys! This is more of a reference/characterization blog for my characters, Vitae and Umil, the daughters of 2B and 9S from my story: Ad Hominem. I suggest you go check it out on my main blog, @irridallium!}
(Some rules)
{Vitae is 16 and Umi is 5, so I would appreciate no sexually 18+ orientated rps because…c'mon. Gore and other stuff is chill}
{You can ask all kinds of things but if it’s a spoiler for Nier: Automata or Ad Hominem, be warned, cause I know all and I will go deep}
{If a question is for Umil, start with @Umil. If it’s for Vitae, start with @Vitae, if it’s for both, start with @Both. Mod here gets confused easily and would like clarity :D}
{Ask like anything I guess? I’ll do my best!}
Hello yes ask my babies things
Is 9S gonna grow a beard?
Umi climbs on Vitae’s shoulders, peering over her head to read the mail with her.
“Beard?” Umi squints as she tries to imagine it and doesn’t like what she sees in her head.
Vitae has a clearer answer, “uh, no, Dad’s not able to grow facial hair or something. I think it bothers him but Mom says she likes him…er, smooth? Whatever that means.” She thinks a little more, pulling a bit at some windswept hair. “Yeah, I can’t really see Dad like some of the other Resistance dads and guys, just cause we look a lot different from them anyways.”
With that, she knocks her sister off her back and onto the grass, Umi landing with a sharp squeak.
BONUS:
“You’re fine without facial hair, 9S.”
“I feel like a kid still, 2B,” he complains, lost in his dejection over stubble. “Why is it just me?”
“You’re ridiculous…”
Follow up questions! Will 2B grow her hair? How is aunty A2? Do you even call her A2? Does Uncle Pascal take you flying? What do you call Jackass? Is that bad language? How about Anemone?
Basically tell us how the others relate to youuuu
"We've got a lot of new mail, Umi," Vitae remarks as Umi plods along, hands free and poking at frogs. "A little help?"
Umi says nothing, humming a tune while she skipped over some stones.
"Umi. Umi, please, you're being ridiculous..."
"I remember that Commander Anemone said that Mom used to, but now it's like past her shoulders. Sometimes, she lets Umi tie her hair ribbon in a braid," she shoots a look at the child, who's now actively poking the pond with a stick. "The kid is like a wizard with knots and stuff."
She makes a face, "Oh, yeah, she's fine. She comes around sometimes."
Vitae sighs and plants her face against her hand. "You know what...She's the worst. She's supposed to be way older than me but she looks like this devious incarnate of evil."
"A2 is the best," Umi says alternatively, kicking her toes in the water. "She goes all over and tells me about the other cities and brings back random stuff."
As an example, she pulls out a chipped, tattered and clearly refurbished circular metal pocketwatch. "I got to keep this. It doesn't work, but it's pretty." She clicks the latch a few times, fascinated by the shattered clock face.
"THAT'S MINE."
"Huh?" Umi squints, confused. She's thinking and she can't remember anyone by that name. "Is that...a friend of Dad's?"
Vitae coughs and clears her throat, suddenly losing her natural cheer. She almost deflated physically, exhaling through her slightly parted lips.
She looks off.
"...pascal died a while ago..." She says blankly, swallowing harshly.
"Oh, yeah, Jackass. She's probably up right now, blowing something/someone up." She ticks her tongue.
"For science," they both quote.
"And it's, not really bad language, since I curse worse than most grown-ups when I cut my finger." Vitae waves her bandaged and scarred fingers as examples.
Umi gets bored and sits closer to her sister.
"Thinking about it, I think I'm closer to her a bit. We can talk about machines and gadgets and she doesn't judge me when things explode; I think she likes it," Vitae finishes up. Umi pouts.
"Mom says I'm not allowed to hang out with her."
"Commander Anemone?" Vitae thinks on fond memories she has with her. "She showed me how to use a gun and we had fun before she left here to go to Citadel and, y'know, be Commander. The government is apparently only like 50 years old or something and she's been around since before it. Helping to build it."
She trails off, "I hope she's keeping up with maintenance..."
"She's one of the world leaders," Umi is clearly agitated now, not expecting a test. "We all have to learn about her in school."
BONUS:
"That was fun right?"
"I don't wanna take a test on the weekend," Umi whines, burying her head in her sister's hair. "I didn't study...uuuu..."
"Er..."
