Additional information: Ryan and Charlie met when she was a cop for the LAPD, at the boxing/MMA gym.  He was already deep into an addiction to drugs and alcohol, which he eventually got Charlie hooked on, as well.   The pair went on to have a daughter together who eventually died in a car accident on the way to watch Ryan spar.   After their daughter’s death, Ryan ran off for Las Vegas to pursue fighting full-time.   A lot of details here are UTP (if he got clena when his daughter was born, if he’s still using now, if he knows Charlie is looking for him, if he was successful with a fighting career or not, etc)
