I am currently making some really exciting illustrations. They are going to be huge and high resolution!!! And they're going to be a mini series! With summer fruits and cute creatures!!
Stay tuned 🌞
K so not to be dramatic or anything, but there's a free vintage French pattern book available on antiquepatternlibrary so if you like to crochet/weave/make pixel art/tie epic friendship bracelets don't walk- RUN.
It has scenes from aesop's fables! Cherubs doing things! Beheadings! Greek muses! Little farm people! Intricate floral pattern! Goth stained-glass window like patterns! Fun little corner pieces! Eeeeeeeeeeeeee

@knottybliss patterns!
Oooooh I gotta check this site out
I can't believe more people don't know about the antique pattern library! All those public domain, vintage handiwork books and magazines are scanned in pdf format, and FREE TO DOWNLOAD! Languages include French, Italian, German, and English. It just does need to be mentioned that most of the earlier English publications are British, so American users need to make sure to convert the instructions as necessary. Especially crochet instructions, where a British double crochet is an American single. No, I don't know why 🤣
Publications include (for those who can't see the picture) :
Battenberg Lace, Beading, BerlinWork, Bobbin lace, Bookbinding (yes, bookbinding!!!)
Calligraphy, Carpentry, Crochet, Cross Stitch, Cutwork
Drawing, Dressmaking
Embroidered Net, Embroidery
Filet, Filet Crochet, Flower Arranging
Glass
Hardanger
Irish Crochet
Knitting, Knotting
Lace (soooo many forms of lace making)
Macrame
Paper, Point Lace
Quilting
Ribbonwork
Sewing
Tatting, Tulle Embroidery
Various
Waxwork, Woodworking
Workbasket Magazine -- a publication that usually posted multiple different crafts in each issue.
It's a wonderful site, and I've loved it for nearly 20 years!

Cloud gazing Froggo & Bunny 🐸🐰☁️
I always loved to watch the clouds and see different shapes in them. Sometimes a dragon, sometimes a cat eating ice cream.
Beginning of June 💚🐸
Everything is so green and the weather is still not too hot, with the wind and summer rains it's so nice.

Some sketchbook pages from May.
I really like how they turnt out~
Playing with shades of red is really fun. And black ink suits them so well!
Day 6: Blue Throat 💙🧡
I ran out of watercolour paper and had to go to buy some more. Found this big pad of Fabriano water colour spiral papers and I was so happy! Perfection!
Day 5: Cerulean warbler
A very blue birdie 💙 Warmed my heart ✨
Day 4: Oxpecker ❤️
So far my fave piece done! Loved that the colours were in harmony, I could play around with the shapes and I hope I could capture the character of this cutie. Love the way how birds seem angry because of the features around their eyes!
#birbfest2024 Day 3: Green crowned plovercrest💚 Such a beautiful, vibrant cutie! Loved to paint it. Although I wanted it to be even more vibrant. Probably should have used a brighter base, not grey. I don't have time to do colour tests, so I learn on the way of the challenge. That I really enjoy. 🥰
#birbfest2024 Day 2: Evening Grosbeak 🌞
A very yellow birb 💛🥰 not sure I am pleased with the result, yet it was refreshing to paint such a yellow bird. Somehow stylizing birds feels really difficult. But I'll keep trying!

#birbfest2024 #birbfest Day 1: Groove billed ani ✨
Very unique bird, have never heard about them and it felt really great to explore their shapes, especially the beaks.
I'm gonna post always the day after as I paint in the evening/night and only have natural light in the morning 🌞

I don't know why, but even though it's still winter, I feel like it's already spring. Feels like my mind was reborn.
December's Full Moon welcome 🌕
I actually made this illustration last week or so, but I just got to post it now - which is the perfect time because today it's actually Full Moon 🥰
In honour of that slowing down and resting is the perfect activity.
This illustration was wildly out of my comfort zone especially with the background, but I think it's not the last time I painted an illustration like this. Reminds me of my childhood.
