William brought a whole bottle of coke and two glasses after hearing his friend’s answer. He was lucky Yoongi liked everything, since he had nothing much left. Going for groceries wasn’t his favourite activity. He sat next to the younger boy and serves him a glass. “What about Tekken?” He served another glass and took a sip. He also took a part of pizza, Yoongi had picked his favourite one as always. “People are too overwhelming. They usually don’t understand why people tend to be quiet and why they prefer not talk. That’s seen like a bad thing. But I don’t mind. That’s probably why you tend to avoid people. But you shouldn’t feel bad about it.”

William sighed deeply. He looked up at the woman asking the question. The answer wasn’t that obvious. They both were reckless and their limits were quite far. He thought a little more, rubbing his temples. After few seconds, he smiled. “As long as I don’t die, there’s no trouble. What about you?” He let escape a light chuckle. “Given the fact you probably can’t die, I really wonder.”

William had obsreved Regina from afar for few minutes, without her noticing him. She looked peaceful, reading some book. Probably about pregnancy, he could have bet on it. He studied her face features, the smile on her lips as she muttered some words to herself. He almost expected her to speak to the Little Dragon. He always found that habit of hers really lovely. He thought that staying silent longer would have been creepy and decided to announce himself by clearing his throat. She lifted her gaze to his direction and William couldn’t help but smiled. He came closer and leaned into her direction and delicately pressed his lips on her forehead. The gesture was gentle and innocent, as he closed briefly his eyes before pulling away and sitting next to her, asking her about her book.

Hansol awakens when there’s a voice calling for him. His head is heavy and he still feels drowsy; the boy went to sleep four in the morning and now he could only assume it was twelve in the afternoon. He hated to go to bed at different times, but really had no choice. He was working under orders, higher than he could even imagine. “Excuse me,” the voice behind the paper door addressed him again. “There’s a letter for you.” 

Hansol sighs heavily and gets up. He wraps himself in his white undergarment robe, quickly twisted his long silver locks into a bun, then went to the door. He slides them open to see one of the servants with the letter in his hands. It had the royal seal on it. “Thank you. Bring me breakfast.” He smiled, then closed the door as the servant went away. Hansol returned to his bed and curled on the futon. He pulled the ornament from his hair and cut open the letter to read. The letter was from an assistant of one of many Emperor’s adviser’s; he was asking for his and his partner’s, Hongbin’s, “services”.

The letter notified a second letter will come later in the day, close to night of their intended target and the target’s schedule. The boy finished reading the letter and tucked it into his makeup drawer, intending to burn it after showing it to his partner. He picks up a comb with wooden handle and gold ornaments, and begins brushing his hair thoroughly, waiting for the servant to return with his meal. Hansol let his mind wander to the past, to the first time he met Hongbin. The latter was working for the royalty for over several centuries already and Hansol “accidentally” became involved with the royalty as well. He had a hunch the vampire told about him and said he’d be useful. Hence, he’s here.

“Your breakfast.” He hears and sees in the mirror the servant walking in and placing the tray with the meal, then quickly walk out. Six more hours till Hongbin awakens Hansol thought while going to eat and deciding what he’ll do till the other awakens.

Another day spent sleeping in his oak coffin covered with dark purple satin cushion. Hongbin liked his comfort very much. While he was asleep, he heard someone getting inside his room, putting a light object on his escritoire. The steps were discreet, the visitor didn’t stay long. Hongbin could have said perfectly what the person had done and touched, how many steps they took  in the room. Over the years, he had developped his skills. The hearing was the one he mastered the best. He could hear a butterfly’s wing rustling at miles of distance. All the informations he collected while sleeping were recorded in his memory and he could use them afterwards.

Thanks to that good hearing, Hongbin knew as soon as he woke up that work was awaiting for him. No one never dared entering his personal space unless it was to inform him of the existence of a new mission. Usually, he would get the detailed informations later, the purpose of the first missive only was to ask for his help. Hansol, his partner, would get the same one. That wasn’t their first time working together.

Hongbin was impatient to reach Hansol’s place but he had to get ready first. The most important was to feed. Hunger and mission were a really bad mix. They had experienced it once in the past and the memory of it was still painful to him, both physically and mentally. Luckily, Hansol didn’t get hurt back then, and that was the only relief Hongbin got from that recollection. Hongbin dressed himself in his usual accoutrements for the mission before walking up the stairs to his living room. The room was plunged into the dark, only few candles lighting up his way to the couch. A woman was already waiting for him and he sat next to her, not even talking before he pulled her closer and sank his teeth into her neck. He drank a reasonable amount of blood before pulling away, wiping his mouth. He was now ready. He didn’t waited for the second letter to arrive, he would read Hansol’s one. Or the other man would explain the mission briefly and they would agree on a plan. He didn’t mind either.

He sent off the woman and left the place. He needed only few minutes to reach his destination, soon knocking at the door, expecting one of Hansol’s servants opening the door in less than two seconds.

William was in a good mood. That happened sometimes, with no apparent reason. In those times, he just wanted to skip around the world, showering people with love. He knew it could be seen as weird for a vampire, but it was the last of his concern. He was walking down the street when he saw a gorgeous woman with long red hair walking towards him. She wasn’t paying attention to him. He stopped and looked at her from afar. He didn’t know her, but given the way she was walking and staring in front of her, she must have been a strong woman. Thinking that she couldn’t see him, he just sent her a flying kiss. After all, he would never see her again, he didn’t want to bother her nor show disrespect by doing it right in front of her and just did it discreetly.

William didn’t remember how many shots of vodka he had that night. Once in a while, when the weight of his past was too heavy to carry, when he couldn’t handle seeing himself in a mirror, William drank. Everything that was in front of him. And when his own bottles were empty, he headed to the nearest vampire bar and ordered glass after glass. Usually, it was whisky, but not tonight. He wanted something different. The one he just emptied was probably the one he souldn’t have ordered but he was enjoying his night out. The vampire who offered him this glass was tall and handsome. And when he was drunk, William really, really liked tall and handsome vampires. He asked the guy’s name once again but instead of listening to the reply, he turned his head and almost kissed the tempting lips. Instead of reaching the other’s mouth, he bursted into laughter and pulled away. He ordered another glass, well aware that he would probably have troubles to find his way back home.

[슈가] Yoongi moved from the doorway, slowly making his way inside as he looked around. He still had a hard time socializing, but he as doing his best. This was as close to socializing as he’d gotten in weeks now and he was trying to make himself less nervous around the other. “I still feel like shit, but I can handle it now at least.” He admitted, shrugging his jacket off before he shook his head. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, honestly. Just panicking about talking to anyone lately.”

He led his friend further inside, taking his jacket and putting it on a chair. He looked at Yoongi sadly. He knew too well how he was feeling, that wasn’t the first time the younger one disapeared like that during few days. Once again, he had no answers. “The nice thing with me is that we don’t have to talk that much!” He laughed. “Let’s play games?” He put the pizza on the small table in front of his couch and then reached the kitchen, asking from afar what he could want to drink to prepare their drinks.

“Ah, no not yet!” He laughed, holding up the pizza. “As promised, though, I brought you a pizza after my shift tonight. I had to take a couple days off this week. I wasn’t doing well. Had a few bad days and didn’t think I could socialize.” He explained as he held the pizza out.

He opened the door for his friend and smiled. “Come on in” He took the pizza, smiling wide and thinking that it was perfect. “Make yourself at home. How do you feel now? Is it something you wanna talk about?”

“Princess. I’ve travelled the world for years without you being able to find me. If you’re here now, it’s only because I allowed you too.” He smiled to her, showing his dimples. He was confident. He knew she had many ways to stop him, to kill him. But his skills had gotten better over the years. “Running? But that would suppress all the fun, darling.” He smiled and revealed his fangs.

“Don’t get so cocky, it’s not like I can’t just try to find you.” It’s a constant show of skills with the two of them. She’s not scared. Running her finger over the table, she shrugs. “Or just make it easier. You know how annoying it is to have to catch your prey?”

“Annoying? I beg to disagree.” He came closer, smoothly, and whispered: “Preying on something... Someone... Is what I like the most in this world.” He was really close, she probably could feel his breath in her neck. “You should be careful. I know you are one of the best of your kind. But don’t make the mistake to underestimate me only because we are in the same room right now.” He pulled away and ordered a new glass to the barman. “The big difference between you and me is that you care about human lives, despite what you just said, you wouldn’t end me right here. Because you know I wouldn’t let you get me without a fight. And you wouldn’t make a bathblood here. Which I totally don’t care about.” He smirked, thanked the barman and took a sip of his whisky.

William wasn’t the kind of person to get surprised. He could feel people around, even in the dark. Even if he was lost in his thoughts, he had seen long ago the boy crouching on the floor, taking pictures of some animal. William kept walking, realising that the boy didn’t hear him walking closer. He was really close when the boy reacted and eventually moved away. “It’s not a problem. You seemed really focused. I didn’t want to interrupt...” He glanced at the camera. “That seems to be a pretty expensive one. Are you a photographer?” That question was a bit out of the blue, be he had to admit he liked taking pictures too, even though he wasn’t that good at it yet.
