We'd like to extend a huge thank you (and congratulations) to all those who applied for director/designers, and to playwrights for their amazing work.

We are so excited to start the new Vogt season with Vogt A. A reminder that applications for directors, designers and playwrights are due in the basement of Theological Hall by the call board on THURSDAY September 12th! We encourage any and all to apply! During our first producer's meeting with Adair things really sort of sunk in: this is actually happening! And we want to thank all of you for supporting the Vogt and theatre - the passion and creativity comes from YOU.
PM MONDAY
Where do I even begin. This year has been so unbelievably wonderful. I am forever in debt to everyone who helped support the Vogt and give me the amazing and rewarding experience of being the 2012/2013 Vogt Production Manager.
To everyone who was involved in Vogt this year, thank you. Your time and dedication to the series is a true inspiration. The hours of work you put in never went unnoticed. All your late nights paid off and this year of Vogt's wouldn't have been the same without you.
To everyone who came out to see a show, thank you for giving us sold out audiences and waiting in line for hours. Without you we wouldn't have anyone to show our hard work to.
To my fellow producers, I have no words. The three of you have been through it all with me this year and always with a kind heart and wonderfully professional attitude. Thank you for shaping my year in to a wonderful experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. I love you guys.
Thank you for a wonderful year, Alex Olley Production Manager 2012/2013
DIRECTOR BLURB: LUKE BROWN
I'm sure my friends who follow any of my multiple social media accounts are tired of looking at highly edited pictures of the "...in the Bucket" cast. As the insecure, cautious, and vulnerable Frosh I once was, I would say "I'm sorry, I'll delete some if that'll make you like me..." But now, as my confident post Vogt self, I say "You do you, I do me."
Kidding, I'll probably delete some things...
Jokes aside, I am so grateful for this experience. Vogt is a place to express yourself creatively, and it is likely that you find out more about yourself in the process. Self-understanding is so vital, especially during this period of my life.
Thank you to the wonderful cast for the play (this is yours), Devon for his adaptation, the super talented producers for the opportunity to do what I love, and all of my other friends who have helped me through this roller coaster of a time.
DIRECTOR BLURB: LAURA MCLEAN AND REBECCA MORAN
The house gorilla is one of the most rewarding domestic animals a family can add to its home. Although in the beginning, owning a gorilla may seem dangerous and exciting, it also comes with a lot of responsibility. The house gorilla prefers to have its own room in the family home, as it likes its privacy whether it is grooming itself with your hairbrush, calling for other gorillas in the dead of the night, or just reading a good book. The house gorilla also likes to eat at the dinner table with dishes and cutlery so it feels equal to the rest of the family, rather than inferior (although it will still eat like a wild animal which will result in a spectacular mess). And at the end of the night, the house gorilla likes to be bathed in the tub at a temperature of 30 degrees, deeply washed and then dried until its fur is lightly fluffed (it will scream, wail and smash things consistently until it is satisfied with its fluff job). If treated with love, care and 100% of your undivided attention, the house gorilla will prove to be a very rewarding and exhausting member of your home you will be proud to call your pet (but they prefer to be called family members rather than ‘pets’). Good luck!
DIRECTOR BLURB: JENNA SHAMATA & KAYLA CAYABYAB
We were both a little skeptical when we first found out that we would be putting on a puppet show. We knew absolutely nothing about puppets or how to go about beginning rehearsals when we didn’t yet have any puppets to work with. However, this entire process has been nothing but collaborative wonderfulness. We have watched the show gradually transform from an array of mittens, sticky notes, and highlighters, to a full-fledged puppet show with puppets and a puppet theatre. We could not be more excited to share our show with everyone and watch our little metatheatrical dark comedy come to life. “Short and sweet, I like it.”

Director for Vogt C, "An Argument".
After months of attempting to write his masterpiece, the brooding artist (Devon Jackson) sits, a not-so-metaphoric cloud hanging over him.
Directing for An Argument has been one of the most fun and rewarding experiences of my University career. The show has challenged me and taught me a lot as a director and has given me the opportunity to work with two of the most talented and hard-working people in Queen’s Drama who make up my cast. From them, to the SM team, to the producers, everyone who helped shape this production is owed a huge thanks and congratulations for everything they’ve done. An Argument is an incredibly fun and surprisingly thought-provoking piece. Come check out Vogt C to find out what all the fuss is about! (Hah, get it? Because there’s an argument?...)
Also, come to find out why Meghan Froebelius sparkles like Edward Cullen on a bright summer’s day!
We are so happy to announce a sixth show!
Not only that, we are proud to be pre-selling tickets for it!

TD TUESDAY
I cannot believe that we have entered the last Tech Week of the Vogt season! With two days of tech down and five more to go, I cannot be more excited to put up the final Vogt with an incredible cast and crew. In the past two days, we have completed our Sound, Set and Costume Load-In, Paper Q’s and today we move on to everything lights! With lights being hung and focused today, the Vogt theatre is coming together more every day. The Tech Week for Vogt C seemed to have come up quicker than the past Vogt Tech Week’s – because of the Vogt B/C overlap and Reading Week tucked nicely in there, I have had to keep very organized and efficient with my time in order to get everything done when it needs to be. This time around, I have a super amazing assistante by my side! Come out and see the last installment in the Vogt Studio Series 2012-2013, Vogt’s Characters. We cannot wait to get an audience!
