Hey buddy, you know, there was a time when I used to recite poetry quite well. I even made some videos of my recitations. But then, for some reason, I stopped doing it. I donât even know why I quit! Today, after a really long time, I was listening to my old recitations, and it felt good. There was a unique kind of joy in it. Do you think I should start again? Should I? Not for anyone else, not to show anyone, not in the hope of subscribers. Just for myself. Purely out of my own desire, as a gift of joy to myself.
We've all been there. The interview question, "What's your greatest strength?" and the immediate mental scramble for a "good" answer. Diligent, compassionate, resilient, we present these polished virtues, hoping to impress. But what if your true strength lies deeper than the surface, beyond the rehearsed responses?
This isn't about what sounds good on paper, but what genuinely fuels you, sustains you through challenges, and helps you become the best version of yourself.
The Real vs. The Reel
Our go-to answers often reflect qualities we admire or believe are socially desirable. They're safe, easy to articulate, and frankly, a bit predictable. Think about it: someone might confidently declare their "greatest strength is determination." While admirable, the root of that determination could be a hidden fear of failure, a drive to prove something. True strength is far more nuanced, an underlying current that carries you through the storms of life.
An Introspective Dive: Finding Your Authentic Core
To truly unearth your genuine strength, it's time for some honest self-reflection. Ask yourself:
What qualities do I lean on when times get tough? Is it your quiet resolve, your ability to adapt, or your unwavering optimism?
When do I feel most alive and truly myself? These are often moments when your authentic strengths are in full play.
What consistent feedback do others offer about me? Sometimes, others see our strengths more clearly than we do.
Which actions or choices fill me with the most pride? These often highlight moments where you acted in alignment with your deepest values and strengths.
In moments of vulnerability, what helps me push through? This reveals the bedrock of your resilience.
These questions can reveal strengths like compassion, patience, adaptability, curiosity, or profound resilience â qualities that might not always be front and centre in casual conversation, but are profoundly impactful.
Ripples of Strength: Impacting Others
Understanding your true strength isn't just a personal quest; it has a profound ripple effect. Imagine someone whose greatest strength is empathy. They might quietly offer unwavering support to friends and colleagues, fostering an environment of trust and genuine connection. When we embrace our authentic strengths, we not only grow personally but also inspire those around us to explore and nurture their own. Authenticity becomes a powerful catalyst for meaningful relationships and positive change.
The Power of Knowing Yourself
Identifying your true strength demands honest self-awareness. It means peeling back the layers of societal expectations and superficial responses to discover what truly sustains and motivates you. This journey fosters humility, deepens your resilience, and gives you a more profound understanding of who you are. Moreover, recognising your authentic strength allows you to align your actions with your core values, paving the way for a more fulfilled and purposeful life.
What's Your Real Strength?
So, the next time the question arises, "What is your greatest strength?" take a moment. Look inward. Beyond the polished answer, what truly defines you? What qualities have helped you overcome obstacles, nurture your relationships, and pursue your passions? Embrace those qualities fully. Let your authentic strength be the guiding light on your journey of growth and self-discovery.
Because true strength isn't about projecting an image; it's about the courage to be honest with yourself and to cultivate the qualities that genuinely empower you, and everyone around you.
What do you think your true strength might be?
We've all been there. The interview question, "What's your greatest strength?" and the immediate mental scramble for a "good" answer.
Iâve been observing our countryâs politics for years, and now, in 2024, I see the politicians. What can I say about the new generation? Theyâre just like "SobJanta Shamsher"âagreeing with everything others say. This defines their political understanding. Minorities, please donât come here to harm me; you are the best examples, and the best things are rare.
As for those who have been in politics for decades, their hair and beard turned grayâwhere do I even begin? I canât understand. Have they become fools after years in politics, or were they foolish even before they entered it? Itâs hard to say.
Fools exist in every generation. They confuse journalism with politics, call politicians politicians, and even think activism is politics. These are the born fools.
I donât know much, so please forgive me for any mistakes. But those so-called politicians who act as devotees, donât come here. If you do, Iâll blow air into your heads before sending you back to Mamaâs Home.
We were younger when we meet. That was so exciting and very friendly. No one is not so adult none knows what love is but had childish feelings for each other. it was sharing tiffin, playing together, smiling loudly, and a smiley Goodbye after class. that's all made us happy all day. We knew we will meet. We will play, We will share, We will smile, We will grow up together.
But weren't wished it could to happen with us.
