Since we got some questions, I'll post some meta trivia about the namesake rp event and its AO3 adaptation.
The way I split the event into AO3 chapters was by the day. So each "Night" is one full day of the event.
If you notice that each AO3 chapter seems to consist of subchapters, I've been treating "Chapters" more like Acts to make scenes easier to find again later.
Once I copypaste the raw chat logs, first I gotta go back and clean up the grammar/spelling so it's all formal syntax and in consistent verb tense. Sometimes, I also rearrange lines to match up replies with each other, and sometimes I also add in some new narration to include details from the channel descriptions, or at least a quick explanation for what kind of variant who is an alternate of… Then, once the transcript in the master doc is finished, then I gotta fix the spacing again when I copypaste all that over to post on AO3.
(In the Doc copy of the fic adaptation, which I've been calling transcripts in chat, there is a tab where I included credits for everyone featured so far. It also includes characters featured in all of Ridwan's post-Banquet rps.)
Realistically, this means there will always be missing content, as I can only afford to set aside so much time per month for a hobby we don't get paid to maintain; but you can always check the Drive folder linked in the pinned post to backread all the coinciding scenes that didn't make it in.
(Just remember, Nights are counting from 2/14/2026.)
Ridwan's lore was decided upon before the start of the Banquet. Their backstory was unlocked through the side-quests we'd organized in the mods' copy of the event schedule.
What did develop itself in real time were Ridwan's personality and relationships with staff and attendees.
(I did not have Ridwan's found family on my bingo card, I'll tell you that right now.)
RPs that have taken place since the February event do further progress their own character development, and may sometimes include recaps or clarify some of the implications, but new lore about their backstory is reserved for the next estate event.
Between estate events, the seasonal events are held off-site by Ridwan's employees so they can all get turns taking the spotlight. Ridwan may make a cameo, but the mini-events are not intended for new lore caches. At most, there'll just be follow-ups on how Ridwan's been coping with their backstory or incidents since the Banquet.
(This is also to lower the pressure to attend every event...)
(...and also to make sure it won't have been written in a rush when it's time to prepare the next loredrop.)
