He just sat there, still trying to get himself to stop crying, taking a few deep breaths even.

“Ludwig… Don’t… D-don’t fuckin’ cry. It makes me feel bad.” She sulked a bit. Well, this was a mistake, wasn’t it…?

He sniffled, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. “I-I’m sorry... I f-failed jou...” He sniffs, staring down at the ground with a dejected expression, tears still flowing from his eyes.

Jack appeared beside him, transparent and cold. She knelts beside him and patted his shoulder.

“It… It was fer th’ best, Ludwig. But I guess I’m hauntin’ this place now. No gates of hell fer me.” She sighed, sounding raspy and quiet. “There was nothin’ ya could do. Nothin’ ya can ever do. I… I jus’ snapped.”

“....Hhhh....” He just buried his face in his hands, attempting to sob quietly but he hiccups every so often. And it doesn’t help that he’s starting to hear her voice.

There was a note on Jack’s door. It was a suicide note.

“Everyone,

Don’t even try to stop me. By the time you read this, I’m gone. I have no damn purpose so there’s nothing you can do. My parents are fucking dicks and so is Mary and her three friends. I’m not even sorry. This is for the best.

Ludwig was passing by when he saw a note on Jack’s door, stopping to read it. He instantly felt a wave of dread building up inside of him. “Nein....” He breathed, picking the note off of the door and re-reading it several times. 

“Neinneinneinneinnein...!” He was in tears now and slid to the floor on his knees, stifling a choked sob. “Warum tust du das ?! Es wäre besser bekommen haben! Es müsste--” The Medic covered his face as he broke down sobbing in the middle of the hallway. He felt like he failed as a doctor, that he failed her. He crushed the note in his gloved hands, shaking and sobbing now.

There's a knock at the door. [Huehuehue]

Zed’d been resting comfortably in his bed, the snakes put away and Nur placed in a cage away from the snakes. He sits up on his bed, rubbing groggily at his eyes, a soft hiss forming in the back of his throat. Slowly, but surely, he walks out of bed and goes to open the door. 

As soon as he sees who it is, even if it’s just some kind of dream or what ever, he slams the door, locks it, and crawls back in bed. Nope. Not tonight. He’s not taking any of your bullshit.

Ludwig waited patiently at the door until it opened only to have it slammed in his face..., and locked apparently. 

“Oh, come on. I just vanted to see how jou vere doing, mein kleines Haustier Schlange..” He knocks on the door a few more times, hoping that last bit would spur a reaction and bring him back out. He tries the knob a few times, unable to get it open, he waits. He had one hand behind him holding a tranquilizing syringe. 

He can handle waiting for days, but that simply won’t be the case with this one. He has to leave sometime. 

“If I recall correctly, jou have a leopard gecko downstairs, ja?”

“They’re visiting. No respawn fer ‘em.” She sighed. I’m so helpless… I really should die. She thought

“I see.” He sets Jack down on the exam table and goes to grab some items from the cabinet.

“And how are feeling right now, Jack?”

“Mary’s a Scout on th’ other team. Ya can kill her.” She shrugged. She let him carry her to the base, her legs feeling like hell anyway. She was quiet on the way there. God, what I’d do to die…

“Und vhat about her accomplices?” He asks as they step into the base and head to the medical wing of the building.

A hood-shrouded face peered through the door cautiously before the BLU Spy stepped fully into the lab. Her left hand was pressed tightly against her side, where a blot of red was spreading slowly through her blue suit.

“Magandang gabi, Doctor.” The Spy greeted meekly, waving with the hand that was not clutching the injury. She tilted her head slightly. “Sorry…am I interrupting something?”

“Nein nein, jou’re fine.” He points to the blood soaking into the other’s uniform. “Vhat happened zhere, and vhile jou’re telling me, have a seat on the exam bed, bitte.” He goes to grab some items from the cabinet.

There’s a small laugh from Ludwig that just grows into a full blown cackle. He clears his throat and attempts to regain his composure. 

“I zhink he’s over-reacting a little bit.”

“M-Mary n’ her friends…” She whispered. “Her friends aren’t hooked up t’ respawn, so jus’ don’t kill em.” She was trying to calm herself down.

“Mary..?” He doesn’t know of a Mary on the base, unless they’re a civilian or something, which would explain why they aren’t hooked up to respawn. 

“Hmm... I’ll have to make zhem vish zhey never set zheir disgusting hands on jou zhen.” He says, continuing to rub the other’s back for a while. Eventually, he stands up, carrying the Scout bridal style in his arms. “Let’s go get jou cleaned up, ja?” He turns and heads for the base.

She whimpered and cried into his chest like a little child. “I-It won’t be okay! It’s gonna g-get worse!!!”

She felt so pathetic, but she couldn’t help it. She wanted to fight the three back, but no, she just had to let them!

He rubbed gentle circles into the other’s back as the Scout cried into his chest. 

“No it von’t, Frau. Who did zhis to jou? I’ll make sure zhey leave jou alone.” Maybe he can even get his slightly insane (but not) brother to help him out.

“I-I…” She looked up at him, tearing up. “I-I’m fine, really… I-It’s okay.” She lied, and you could see it right on her face. She looked at the ground.

“I… I j-just…” She broke down, beginning to cry.

Ludwig scooped Jack up into his lap and sat down criss-cross in the grass. He held her close and gently pat her on the back. “It’s okay, Jack. Everyzhing’s going to be okay.”

“Once upon a dream… All I had to do was try. Too late now to wonder why It can never be… Could I begin… again? Once upon… a dream…”

Jack sat at the tree trunk, clearly beat up by the trio of Mary’s. She had cuts, bruises, and a bloody nose and mouth. She wanted to have a new life, but…

“It can never happen… can it…?”

Ludwig was out for a walk, his crows flying about in numbers, probably finding more crows to come along with them. He spots something-- no a someone, sitting at a tree trunk near by. It looked a bit like.. 

“Jack...?” He starts to walk over, the walk turning into a sprint once he sees her condition. “Jack!? Jack, are jou okay??” He kneels down by the Scout. “Jack? Say somezhing! Vhat happened?!”
