   They hold their breath for a moment. The tears flowing down their face not quite being recognized before the sting snaps at them. Another moment later and Zero’s already rubbing at their eyes because it hurt so much. “No I just… have something in my eyes.” A feeble attempt was made to laugh it off, a smile crossing their lips though it was bitter.

   They drew Volker in for a tight hug, petting the back of its hair. “I’m just going to miss you is all.”

The situation was starting to hit Volker. It knew there was something up during their day out, but Zero’s words were finally being processed and a sinking feeling in its stomach was starting to form.

“Ah--” Zero pulling it in for a hug cut it off before Volker could say anything. It stiffens at their touch and its own tears threatening to fall.

My favorite ship in Legends is Volnutt/Barrett bc Volnutt/Tron is not great and Volnutt/Roll is creepy since they’re siblings. And I saw people going on about Barrett being a romantic rival to Volnutt.

So I went “No, Volnutt and Barrett are together, and they love each other very much. Sometimes they get arrested and make out in the back of the police car.”

Volnutt would. It would wish to find the Mother Lode. After Legends 2 it would wish to get off the moon. Volker would wish for its parent to give it a damn explanation.

It becomes rather bristly and starts avoiding the object of dislike. If it has to talk to them, most of its responses will be short and terse with it oh so clearly wanting to leave at the first opportunity and Volnutt starts to be more rough with its actions.
