“Work-Life Balance Tips From Supernatural Beings” for Toggl
Seelisberg, Switzerland
December 18th 2016 - When (or if ever) I have grand-children and they’ll ask me to tell them a story about a beautiful day, this would probably be the day I would tell them about! It was simply the perfect place to be with the perfect conditions! First we drove to Seelisberg, which is above Lake Lucerne, but when we parked the car, we were still in deep fog and had no idea what view was waiting for us at the top! Although there was no snow in the lower part of the mountains, the giant peaks further down the valley were already lightly covered in snow, which in addition to the sea of fog and the golden glow created the setting for my favorite photo that I’ve taken up to this point. And then the further up we hiked, the more we felt like we were on top of the world as the fog stayed low and the view became more breathtaking as more peaks started to appear around the corner.
One of the many amazing things was how it was actually the trees that were lower on the hill were frozen and white, while the trees higher up were clear of any signs of winter since it was warmer higher up as the fog down low prevented any sunlight from reaching the bottom parts of the hill and trapped in the cold.
And then as the sun started to reach the horizon, the glow on the sky returned. and the dark skies were replaced with one of the most colorful I’ve ever seen! We were just leaving the forest on the way back as we came across this perfect view of the little lake, which was surrounded by frost due to all the mist, while the clouds above the peak of Niederbauen-Chulm were absolutely on fire! And to add to all of this, the little pretty old wooden hut truly made me feel like I was in some Swiss dream!
However, not only did the colors disappear relatively quickly, but so did all the remaining daylight as the skies turned deep dark blue. We were on the way back to the car, but I wanted to take a couple more photos of the mountains peeking out of the fog in the dark, but then I quickly learned how fast fog can move, because the last photo in this photo set was the very last photo I could even take, because not even five seconds later, the fog rose and the view disappeared completely. I guess I should have stayed up higher for a bit longer!

I'm on a different wave, therefore your storms can't affect me.
