I am a yapper so I’m unfortunately going to bore you with a lengthy answer but at least you got the whole in depth shabang hehe

Honestly it’s been such a part of my style for so many years it’s something that I forget I do or become blind to because it’s always been my norm - when I was younger I always used to find my art looked better to me in the stage before adding in my pupils and as an alternative person I wanted something darker to reflect in my work and it always made things look that extra bit more oomph-y to me

When I was like 14 ish as well I was super into Lucas David and Leon Mateus’ art and they always had these spooky soulless eyes which played some part in why I wanted to do something sort of like that and I have tried SOME art pieces with pupils to just see and I aaaalways end up hating it and never feels like my own 💔

And lastly your question is I suppose another reason I do it! It’s something that’s become super noticed in my art now and I’ve always struggled in my style identity here and there whatnot so I always get really excited or just extremely happy when people manage to recognise me through the no eyes sort of stuff! To me memorable artists always have that one feature you can always note something key in their art or that stands out each time and it’s always more influential when you can use them in a study and notice what element you have used or someone maybe noticing who you’ve replicated so I like to hope that this is my sort of stand out style feature 🙂‍↕️
