Hey! I saw your work and I really liked it ^^ I've been looking for someone to help me out on a little project that I have currently stalled in the time being. So my 2 big asks are:
1 - do you do commissions?
2 - can you imatate other art styles? (I hope this isn't an offensive question, it might not be but I'm a bit paranoid in offending someone out of pure innocence)
Hello! Thank you for your interest in my work!
1. I do take commissions sometimes
2. I have taken work where it was required that I imitate a style. There are important boxes to check for me to do that, however. If this is a project where you are looking to replace an illustrator who was previously working on it, it is reasonable and expected that to finish it, you would need the new artist to produce work that fits seamlessly with the existing content. When I’ve done this in the past, the previous artist understood the situation and it was more that I was working in the style of the project rather, than mimicking their style personally. Another example would be producing a project worked on by multiple artists all working to create content in the same style together.
I do not take commissions where I am to mimic the style of another artist who has no idea I am doing it and has not agreed to me doing it. If I put myself in their shoes, I would be very upset if I found out one day that someone was charging money for art created specifically to look like my work. It would be the same to me as someone selling my paintings behind my back and calling it their own work.
Currently I’m working on some Wednesday fan art! I finished the show on Netflix a few days ago and couldn’t help starting a piece!
Recently did a bunch of spooky and cute holiday themes pieces in a children’s book illustration style! I’ve really been loving the dive into more of this stuff. Working with large shapes and texture brushes is a blast.
