After season 4 we have one more season left of The Legend of Vox Machina before the story is complete. With a few episodes left from the campaign to estimate plus with the fact that they are willing to make changes for better television. I want to make predictions on how the season could be structured. Spoilers for both the show and the campaign as I try to guess where this story could go and end. This is definitely a very long post.
Episode 1: Mainly the aftermath of the ascension, Vox Machina will struggle after they were seen kneeling before The Whispered One. They would have to save Whitestone once again and their friends will definitely be angry with them after warning them that this would happen. They have to set out to make things right. They leave Tary and the others behind to defend Whitestone should the cult return. They must find Scanlan and also seek out anything that can help aid in this fight.
Episode 2: Search for Scanlan, he definitely saw the footage of the crew kneeling and saw Vax die. Scanlan will definitely feel awful but he is also in trouble with the cult of The Whispered One. Vox Machina finds him and help with the cult but with all the magic death around them the fight is difficult especially with the return of members of the Unalive 5 or at least Delilah Briarwood with her husband Sylas. They are able to push them away but they get a hint of something that can help. It could be possible that Percy will get the chance to finally get his vestige of divergence, Cabal's Ruin. Scanlan joins the crew again.
Episode 3: The search for Cabal's Ruin. They head to Stilben as that was the last place the twins saw the vestige but somehow it's missing, they eventually find it from a criminal who's wearing it and to get it back they must do something for them. Things go wrong as this criminal plans to sell out Vox Mox and deliver them to the cult. There is a fight and Percy finally gets his vestige. As they leave and pass a Matron of Ravens temple a bright light appears from it and out comes a resurrected Vax to everyone's surprise.
Episode 4: Starts with the deal Vax has to make, we could also get a backstory of The Matron of Ravens, maybe the story we heard from the Whispered One but from her perspective. This will definitely be the gods episode. Vax doesn't understand why this is relevant to him since he had just died but the Matron offers him a chance and with this chance an opportunity to seal away the Whispered One forever. A rite of banishment, a secret technique no one has used in centuries. Vax agrees but the Matron gives her condition, when they succeed Vax must return to her as her celestial champion. We get to the present and everyone is confused, sad, and happy but after the news they hear from him burdened. With the clue for the rite they know where to get ancient knowledge, back to the Cobalt Soul. Meanwhile the Whispered One hears news of the champion of the Matron of Ravens being alive and he is visibly angry.
Episode 5: Return to the Cobalt Soul. This time with the plan of simply asking as they have no time to plan for a heist. Obviously they are not let in, not only due to their attempted robbery but also for allowing the Whispered One to ascend. Both sides argue until members of the Whispered One's cult arrive attacking the Soul. Knowing that the knowledge they have is dangerous to their new god they seek to destroy all knowledge inside. Vox Machina and the Cobalt Soul have to work together to push away this assault. Once they are able Vox Machina has proven to the Soul that they can be trusted with the knowledge and give them the rite and also a new goal, in order to survive the fight with The Whispered One, the gods will need new champions and when taken near a statue of The Knowing Mistress, they end up actually speaking with her and in the result not only does Scanlan get Mythcarver back but also becomes her champion and is given a trammel, and is told where they can get more.
Episode 6: this would be where the party splits temporarily. Pike and some members of Vox Machina go to an Everlight temple, while Vex and the other members of Vox Machina head to a temple of the Dawnfather. Pike is conflicted since she was hurt and felt abandoned by the Everlight, not having spoken with her in sometime is very anxious about this. Pike's trial is about accepting redemption in herself, in Vox Machina, and even the Everlight. The Everlight understands why Pike would feel betrayed by her and gives the understanding that the gods are not perfect, that's why they have people like Pike, the ones who can challenge a god and change one and make them better. Pike becomes the Everlight's champion and is given a trammel. Vex meanwhile is challenged by the Dawnfather a god that is known to be stern and gives her a challenge that is personal to her, to see how far she actually came from the distant and locked away woman she once was and to challenge that this change is good and that power is strong enough to rally the god to make her his championship and receive the last trammel. After reuniting the trammels glow with ancient divine magic and with the rite of banishment they have what they need to put The Whispered One away forever. The Whispered One meanwhile is casting a major spell that is unknown for now.
Episode 7: definitely the gathering of forces. Vox Machina knows they can't do this alone and they need all of Exandria back on their side if they want a chance to finish the Whispered One. They plan to rescue the Ashari. As they prepare however thoughts dwell on the fact that if they succeed they lose Vax, and Keyleth is angry with that fact. Angry that Vax chose to die cause now there is no way to save him this time and she will be alone. Vax understands but he also knows she isn't truly angry at him she's angry at the Matron and he doesn't blame her. The plan is to rescue the Ashari so that they can spread the message to the rest of the world that the Whispered One can still be defeated. Vox Machina has a way to permanently end this for good. Basically to reduce the faith in the Whispered One and weaken him. Obviously to rescue each Ashari means fighting more cult, maybe even the dark bard, death knight and evil priestess return as well. Once they push them away and kill the high ranking members. They have to spread their message. After sometime and convincing the message is spread. Meanwhile The Whispered One is aware of what is happening but he has his big trick as he revives a titan.
Episode 8: a vision granted to Vax reveals a revived titan marching its way to Vasselheim. They wanted to make a plan for the assault but with no time to prepare they must rush over to the ancient city. Vasselheim soldiers try their best but their efforts are not enough to stop this titan. As Vox Machina arrives they are greeted with this large force and also Sylas and Delilah Briarwood. Vox Machina is overwhelmed with this threat and must decide to make a strategic retreat. First hiding in Chateau Shorthalt before that fails they make a run while fighting as Keyleth casts a shift spell that takes them to the Fey Realm.
Episode 9: the return of the Fey Realm. Obviously there is panic as the Fey Realm is dangerous but also has weird time issues. In this argument Garmelli finds them and was just simply watching them argue as he finds it entertaining. He also laughs cause he reveals that he can send them back exactly when they left or at least a few minutes after. The crew obviously don't believe him but then he reveals himself to be an arch fey named Artagan. He promises to do this for them if they also leave him a way to get to Exandria. Vox Machina reluctantly agrees and makes a plan to assault the titan and stop everything. They are then sent back to Vasselheim.
Episode 10: The assault on the titan, mainly action packed with Vox Machina this time on the titan attack to weaken its power. They are confronted by Delilah and Sylas Briarwood. Noticing that their life is bonded to the titan and if they kill them the titan loses its momentum. They fight and win and kill the Briarwoods, they then rush up to meet the Whispered One for one last stand.
Episode 11: The final fight with The Whispered One. The toughest battle Vox Machina has ever faced as he is a god and they must banish him beyond the divine plane. Careful to protect the trammels. They are able to activate it and then read the rite of banishment after hurting him enough to seal him away with all their power combined. The victory is theirs but they know what comes next, as the people cheer for Vox Machina's victory a sign from the Matron appears. Everyone in Vox Machina doesn't want Vax to go but with tears they must say goodbye.
Episode 12: The epilogue of the story. Vox Machina reminisces on their adventures, trying to remain happy after what happened. They saved the world again but lost one of their own forever. Vox Machina eventually part ways but this time making sure to keep in touch with each other. Pike, Scanlan, and Grog travel together touring just hanging out. Eventually Pike and Scanlan do hookup and get together, a group of ravens watches their travels. Vex and Percy are back to being nobles in Whitestone, with Tary also living there temporarily he gets to enjoy the company of his friends before moving forward himself. There could also be a tease of Vex being pregnant as well, a group of ravens watching them. Finally Keyleth, alone hopefully her father is healed after everything that happened so she has him. She looks to a sunset by a large tree thinking about her responsibilities to herself and her people. She spots a group of ravens and also a larger raven watching in the tree, she looks back and walks away. Series ends there.
