“They are my children, so I care a great deal, but I am simply making small talk. What can I help you with?”
“The twins have been teething, it’s been a difficult week for both of them.”
Mary nodded quite quickly. “Yes,” she said looking up from the beautiful bottle to Nostradamus. “Only the very best for His Majesty. And I only trust you for that.”
Nostradamus offers a small smile. “I’ve been serving His Majesty since he was born, and his mother before that, I know what he needs.” Nostradamus had been quite young when Francis was born but as his father was the physician at the time he still remembered the event quite clearly. “I’ll make a bigger batch in case he should need it.”
“i would take use of it then, i have a terrible headache;”
“Very well, I can mix some into your tea if you like.”
Again with Olivia and her not knowing she was pregnant. And she thought the servants knew every thing. “How many times a day would you suggest then?”
“As needed.” Nostradamus says. “Though should he wish to take it to prevent ailments take it in the morning and night, a few drops in some tea will do. I’ll make a bigger supply for him if you would like.”
“Rose water? Somehow I’m not sure on this one. I have used it for beauty purposes before but I have never heard of its healing qualities.”
“Well it’s not just rose water,” Nostradamus smiles. “It’s also got herbs in it, it’s used to keep everything from colds to plague away.”
“I’ve been feeling fine without it,” Mary said but took the small bottle. “Francis’ stomach has been bother him again. Could this help?
“Certainly, it helped Olivia a great deal when she was with the twins.” He says, Nostradamus had long been giving the rosewater medicine to his family and friends.
“what help does it offer?”
“PLague, usually, bit it can also help fevers, and head aches.”
crownmemary:
“What ever do I need it for?”
“It’s preventantive.” Nostradamus says. “I’ve used it to prevent all sorts of things, especially plague.”
“it is, don’t you think of it otherwise; (he sighed) patients aren’t the same i understand, soon enough all these might be done i am sure;”
“I should hope so, I don’t see how we’ll be able to manage if the situation gets much worse.” Nostradamus sighs. “We already get very little sleep and our patient load seems only to be growing.”
❛ ——what do you use it for, if I may? pardon me, I am unfamiliar with medical practices. ❜
“It soothes many symptoms of plague, but I also give it for the flu.” Nostradamus explains. “Occasionally for morning sickness as well, when my wife was pregnant with our twins she took it often.”
“It’s just rose water, I’ve used it to help patients for years.”
‘’I’m quite busy today,so I don’t have much free time.If you have a question for me,then please don’t hesitate to speak.’’
“I was simply wondering if you’d like some rose water tea sent up to your quarters. I’ve used it for years to frighten off the plague, it may be helpful in keeping you safe.”
“Thankfully my friend there are people who still care, not anyone is paying nothing for other’s and their home-country;” He sighed again, shook his head up and gazed in his eyes; “I, no, I do not recall seeing them, I suppose she didn’t want to exposure them at the sickness;;”
“Tis good I suppose.” Nostradamus sighs. “Well I suppose it’s a good thing the children were not with her, I miss them all terribly though. It is lonely in the infirmary at night, no matter how many patients are there.”
“Is that why she sent me away?” Victoria replied cooly as she got changed slowly. Her head hurt like hell, and here she was thinking she was getting better. “What does rose tea do? It’s just tea?”
“It’s more then just rose water tea, it’s got other ingredieants too. I’ve been using it for years to treat plague paitents” Nostradamus says calmly. “You’ll have to drink all of it.”
“As for your mother she sent you away because she thought it was best for you. She does what she thinks is best for her children.” He says. “She’s a good mother and tries to do her best, though mother’s cannot protect their children from everything.
Victoria stood up with a childish frown, “Notify the bitch all you want, she could not care less if I’m dying or not,” she mumbled. She knew better than to argue with the person tasked with helping her. Besides, she didn’t have the strength. She shuffled over to the bed and did as she was told.
“She’s your mother, of course she’ll care.” Nostradamus says, he knows it to be true, she cares for all her children even if she doesn’t always show it. “Now I”ll make you some rose tea and then we need to drain those boils.”
my friend sounds pretty scared of what i am to tell him, my manner didn’t help a lot though, ‘cause i left him waiting while i could speak of what she said at first; “she also sends you her love; she misses you a lot;” i said in a carrying manner and walked up to him, placing my hand on his shoulder and smiled a little to encourage him; “you know that she can’t sleep well, she is a carrying woman, have love for france, and as long as a lot of people here are suffering.. i doubt that she can sleep well.. your children of course are way too young to know what is happening;” i paused for a minute and took my hand off his shoulder, i wished a little and sat on a chair; “yes, yes they are eating fine;” i told him in a manner of fact tone; “thankfully they do;”
Nostradamus frowns. “She does care a good deal.” He mutters. “She loves this country and she loves her children. She has always worried more then is good for her.” He nods quietly. “Good, I have worried that they are unable to get food with me working all the time. Did you see the children? Did they look healthy?”
