so here’s my thoughts for post-homecoming stuff for toomes

mysterio breaks toomes and gargan out of prison to start assembling a team to take down spider-man. because toomes knows his identity and because peter saved his life, he feels indebted to him; he either a) ends up leaving the group (not on good terms; there’s definitely a fight and he probably gets banged up quite a bit) and finds peter to warn/help him, or b) works as a double agent, pretending to help mysterio but all the while feeding him false information, and on the downtime helping peter.

i was thinking abt him today too and all the little metas and such im gonna write

like about how his father was probably a contractor as well, and he grew up with the mentality that hard work is always rewarded, as long as you work hard and do your job, everything else will fall into place

hence his hatred for stark/the department of damage control once they start edging him out of his business

especially since he comes from such a blue collar environment that he doesn't see why stark needs this, too, when he already has literally everything

and tbh he probably felt a bit like a failure, suddenly jobless, wondering how he's going to continue providing for his family, how he's supposed to look his wife in the eye when he gets home and tell her he lost this job and that job

wondering how badly his kid's going to view him for it bc when you're a kid, your parents are pretty much your heroes

Day 14 | Scariest Scene: Peter Parker & Adrian Toomes

This moment is a combination of tenseness and fear. I love how well the twist of Vulture being Liz’s father puts a different meaning on what might have still been an intense first date scene, just more menacing when you add in the villain factor.

The whole gun and threatening Peter’s life thing didn’t hurt either - proved the effectiveness of Vulture as a villain both in and out of costume 🙈
