Bonum vinum laetificat cor hominis || Drunk!Spock
"No milk? Damn, that blows! How do you have ice cream? And cheese? And all those wonderful things that Bones is going to start cutting out of my diet very soon if I don’t get rid of this?" James rambled, patting his little paunch that he had somehow formed because he wasn’t exercising as he was supposed to be. “Alright, alright, no chocolate milk for you then. We’ll have to figure something else out," and for the second time that night, he found himself winking at Spock. What in the hell was that about? He couldn’t say. Drunk Spock was a little bit more talkative and open, and Jim found that… well… fascinating.
"Gosh, Spock. You are literally no fun. No pranks, no booze… what do you do for fun? Other than enjoy playing chess with me, of course?" Jim laughed, glancing over his shoulder for a moment to check on Bones, who was flirting it up with an attractive woman. “He is doing more than that…" He muttered before turning back to Spock, waiting expectantly for the ultimate question of: How did Vulcans have fun?
"It is the same as milk, we did not have then on Vulcan. You are aware that there are none dairy alternatives to all of the items you have listed, correct? I am sure the good Doctor had given you a list of preparatory techniques for many of the foods you enjoy that do not have the high caloric count that you have become accustomed to." he raised a brow at the Captain's mention of his stomach, glancing down at the indicated area with a look of interest. "Perhaps we could extend our activities to sparing as well. I can work with McCoy to ensure you are engaged in an exercise regiment." He knew that if they were to do so he would not be able ti use his full strength and abilities, however to for the other man to be able to go all out himself would be of benefit to him to fully engage his whole body in the work out.
His lip twitched slightly at the comment, his mind still baffled by the uncharacteristic gesture the Captain kept directing at him. "I do not endeavour to be 'fun' Jim. I find both meditation and playing the ka'athyra to be highly relaxing. When I am unable to play with you, I often play against the ship's computer." Spock glanced back over at McCoy, eyebrow raising slightly. "Oh? I take it that he is attempting to, as your would say,'pick up', that young woman then?"
