Nadine, the Queen's Spear

The Moon casts a cold light through broken windows, illuminating the carmine stains upon the antechamber floor. Within the shadowed corners of the room lay numerous armor-clad corpses of knights of the Church. Standing among this ruin is the Queen’s Spear, the lone sentinel who guards the throne. Resolute in her defense of the antechamber, her furious heart relishes the opportunity to slay any who'd dare wish the Queen harm. Woe to those foolish enough to cross the threshold.

When Lenn’s patrol happened upon the remains of a Transient caravan, they were astonished to find among the corpses a young girl clutching the splintered, blood-soaked shaft of a spear. Lenn took her in, raising her as his daughter and apprentice. When she finally attained knighthood, he bequeathed her the spear with which she once clung to life, fully restored by his hand.
