The redhead tilted her head, thinking. “I don’t tend to get sick all too often, but should you have something that helps me warm up, I would take it.” Daniela glanced at the castle in the distance and considered her choices. She would never make it back home on foot and this stranger seemed kind of trustworthy. “I would appreciate a ride back home. Alcina's face smoothened as best as her weathered face could, and she's leaning into Inéz's touch, she sighed happily that Inéz is back. “Good. I look forward to it.” She grumbled, happily thinking of Inéz and her tearing Miranda apart. To have them both safe, them both home, made Alcina feel more relaxed. She tucked Gwen in, taking off her dress and putting on her nightgown, before laying on the mattress, behind Gwen. She watched Inéz with a gaze full of love as her mate looked around their room. “I intend to make sure you never have to leave out of fear again. I... I cannot allow it. I think I'd go quite mad if you had to flee again, a madness I don't know if I can escape from.”

A low, angered growl escaped Alcina's throat at the sight of her mate's scars and bones. She knew exactly what caused those newer marks on her mate's body and her entire being cried for blood. She allowed herself to calm. “Inéz, Draga mea, come to bed.” She petted the soft mattress, wanting Inéz to come and sleep.

She slips on a white nightgown from the drawer, removing the tie to her dreads and letting them cascade down to her lower back, some strands fading into greys with age and coiled in silver jewelry, having spent years maintaining and growing them out "There won't ever be an 'again', rest assured my love, you won't go mad as long as I can help it.." Though that last part has a humorous quip as she removes the rest of her jewelry, she means it, with her entire being.

Inéz crawls into bed at Alcina's request, settling down between her mate and her daughter with a soft grunt, not realizing the full extent of just how exhausted her body really was after pushing it past it's limits, tangling their legs together and pressing into her warmth with a longing sigh. Inéz could only nod her head, feeling like she'd choke on her words if she dare speak, biting sharp fangs into her lip to keep her smile from wobbling pathetically as her own tears threatened to spill over. Truthfully the witch looked a second away from collapsing, almost gauntly thin compared to her once strong, sturdy form from spending months on end running until her paws had worn down and bled, making sure Genevieve had enough to sustain before even thinking of herself, many sleepless nights spent awake mumbling to herself in the dark as she would guard over their precious daughter with her life.

She felt like a shell of her once powerful presence, and yet she still slowly approached her beloved without hesitation, smile unwavering with a slumbering Gwen in her arms now wrapped in the warmth and safety of home "Sim - sou eu meu amor..I'm here..we're here.." Her voice threatened to break when she finally spoke,tears now freely cascading down her good eye as she pressed against her wife's side like she had all those times before. Alcina ran over to her, scooping her into her own arms, careful not to squish tiny Gwen in her arms as she kissed all over Inéz's face, as Alcina wept. “You look thin, draga mea.” She sobbed, seeing the cuts on Inéz's paws in a reflection from a nearby brass vase. “How is she? Genevieve? Miranda never came for her? Did she? Oh, beloved, I am so sorry...” She shook her head.

“You're here, draga mea, that is all that matters. That you're here, that you're safe. I won't let her touch either of you. I promised you this. And I intend to keep it.” She spoke as she carried Inéz to the infirmary.

Despite her bone deep exhaustion and the sharp pain in her feet with every step, she laughs through her tears with pure joy she hadn't felt in months at every kiss to her face, wrapping her free arm around Alcina's neck and holding tightly as if she were her lifeline.

"Fine, she's just fine..I did everything in my power to make sure of it, hunting was very slim pickings in this season but I made sure she stayed healthy and took whatever she didn't finish..I'm ok my love, really, just tired.." Inéz sniffed, trying to assure her mate as she brings her hand up to caress her pale cheek and wipe away her tears with her thumb, not wishing to be fussed over for minor injuries.

"No, she never did - sent plenty of her little familiars to try and track us down, but those foul vermin never lived to return.." the witch growled bitterly, pressing her forehead against hers, she closes her eyes, fighting back the urge to weep once more "Minha vida, I love you so much..as long as I'm here I won't ever allow her to separate us again..".

And that's all that matters.” She fussed over Inéz, overseeing the maids who worked in the infirmary as they set to dressing the wounds. She ordered another to go to the kitchen to get hot food for Inéz and hot milk for Gwen. The maid nodded and left.

“Good. That woman deserves to lose everything. She takes and takes, giving nothing but pain in return. It is about long overdue to give back at her.” She snarled, before becoming calm again, for Gwen's sake. Her expression becomes gentle again. Her bloodlust returned and she ordered another maid to fetch her a glass of Sanguis Virginis and the maid bowed and left. Alcina refused to eat a maiden outright in the infirmary. "Bad manners", she'd say if asked.

She shivers at the contact to her bare skin, not used to anyone touching her in months, even in her weakened state she let's out a low warning growl that visibly startled one of the younger maids as her hands came too close to Genevieve, the five year old shifting, barely rousing from her much needed sleep as Inéz held her even tighter.

"Truthfully, I'm not very hungry..haven't been for awhile." Her paranoia clouded her appetite greatly, despite her jutting ribs and sharp edges of her once soft features, fearing she wouldn't be able to keep it down with how bad her anxiety still was. The witch pulls away from the maidens with a huff once she deemed their wound dressing enough, the touching overwhelming her.

" I'll give my life if it means protecting our home, but in the meantime I suggest you keep your guard up..she'll find out that we're here eventually. "

“Inéz, draga mea, it's ok.” Alcina gently tried to soothe her mate. She, herself, reached over for Gwen. “Please, I want to see her and you need to rest, to eat. To recover.” She's visibly worried for Inéz, it's evident on her face, in her stance, her voice. “She won't come. I will distract her for as long as I can if she ever comes here. She won't hurt you, I won't let her. These maids are your friends, but if they so much as hurt you or tell Miranda about you, I will eat them.” Their fear is evident.

“I have a feeling that she already knows, but not due to my maids. Miranda has a... Weird link with the megamycete... She will know because of the memories it consumes.” She reached out to touch Inéz but she lingered, not touching her out of fear of rejection. She doesn't want to overwhelm Inéz even more.

She hesitates for a moment, visibly shrinking back as her mate reaches to Gwen, terrified that she would turn into black wings and dissappear with her baby in an instant. That is until her exhausted eyes take in every small detail of Alcina that she knows can't be errored out by a fraud, her smell, any slip ups in her voice - but it doesn't happen, her beloved is all warmth and sweet scented, so she finally gives in and slowly tucks their daughter into her mates arms with a gentleness she never lost.

" I'll try just - take her before I change my mind.." she said half jokingly, willing to try to relax so she wouldn't worry so much about her, picking at her food and taking small bites, warming her senses back to life, but hard to swallow as her throat felt tight.

Inéz arches a brow at their stares, before huffing and looking away as she pulls her shawl around herself even tighter, an embarrassed blush rising onto her own dark cheeks.
